Diablo Freeride Park Set to Host ROUND 3 of the Diablo Gravity Series

Diablo Freeride Park, New Jersey - This upcoming weekend Diablo Freeride Park is primed and ready to host the 3rd installment of the 2009 Diablo Gravity Series. Top east coast racers will be competing for over $7500 in cash and prizes as well as valuable Diablo Series points.The racing action kicks-off this Saturday as racers will battle for top honors in the Giant Slalom discipline. Giant Slalom competitors in the Men's Pro category will be competing for a $500 first-place prize while leading amateurs will vie for high-end product prizes from Diablo's exclusive sponsors.

Over the years, gravity riders from points all over the globe have made the trek to Diablo Freeride Park to sample the vast trail network featuring a myriad of jumps, drops, berms and features, however this Saturday pure downhill racing will take center stage. Top east coast racers will compete on a technical and challenging course located on Diablo's North Peak.

With three events left in the series, the overall points race is heating up in all race categories. George Ryan of Team Jamis is currently holding-down the top spot and is aiming to capture the $1000 overall series bonus, as well as the overall Diablo Gravity Series championship title.

On the amateur front, local rippers Dennis Yuroshek and Travis Westerkamp are leading the series as they currently claim the first place spot in the Men's Amateur Senior and Junior categories respectively. In 2009, the overall Diablo Gravity Series amateur men's champions will each take home a complete Jamis BAM II downhill bike valued at $5100 .
