1st place not only had some amazing riding but a very powerful message. I think that at least for me when I watch the countless videos on pinkbike that I get so lost in watching the rider. That video pointed out that sure the rider was amazing in it but it showcase the environment that we ride in and so many take it for granted. We need sometimes just stop and realize where we are and appreciate how lucky we are and to make sure we respect it. I have so much respect for that video and message that it tells us.

I am with you on that. There is a message and also depth to the video by Damien Vergez.

To me that's actually what it's all about. I love the outdoors, I love to experience new places, and I always appreciate the spaces in which I'm lucky enough to be able to ride. Even the small suburban retreats here at home! It's great to get lost in the woods, see wildlife, and breathe some fresh air!

Thanks a lot guys for all your feedback and comments ! I'm so glad you liked it. To me it was all about nature. Involving the first nations was not only an honor and a great pleasure to me, but it was mandatory. I spent one of the best week of my life and had goose bumps so many time during the shooting and recording the music.

Another fun Dirt Diaries night. Good to see Calvin Huths video properly on here, the playback seemed real jittery on the big screen.

1st place had absolutely beautiful cinematography and music and everything. They definitely deserved it. Although I feel that Seth's entry should have been in 2nd

Me: "I really need to go to sleep, its getting late, I'll just check Pinkbike really quick."

And 45 minutes later I'm even more stoked for this weekend in Whistler!!!

Damien Vergez's movie so impressive! Stunning landscapes shots, riding, sound, natives story cuts working great with whole movie and of course the message!

Beautiful cinematography, beautiful message, and a most deserving win. Thanks to the First Nations people for participating and exposing us to a glimpse at their culture. Yes, this was a mountain biking film, but then again so much more. Could not have conveyed my own feelings any better than this short film did. Thank you.
