PRESS RELEASE: Duluth Hard Enduro

The second edition of Max Fierek's Duluth Hard Enduro is due to take place on June 29-30 and I can't tell you how stoked we are! Max Fierek has really been putting in the hours over since last year's event to make sure that this is your favorite event of the season!

What is the Duluth Hard Enduro? It is the Midwest's Premiere Enduro event, featuring two days of racing over 10 stages of the best trails Duluth has to offer. If you have been curious what the Duluth trail hype is all about, this is the best way to experience it!

All the Stair Sets

Last year, riders charged from Lester Park all the way to the Spirit Mountian Bike park in 1 day riding 12 stages and about 40 miles. This year we're changing things up a little bit, throwing in some extra shuttles and cutting the East Duluth stages.

Plus we are adding something super special that has never been done in the US. That's right, an urban stage through the city streets and two of the cities most historic parks. The course will feature a combination of massive stair sets, gnarly high-speed straightaways, man built features and some sweet natural terrain. Saturday, June 29th is the all about the Urban Assult, followed up on Sunday by the big day in the saddle, working from Spirit back across to Downtown hitting all the local favorites along the way.

Endless Possibilities

"The goal with the Hard Enduro is to keep the event fresh and do something unique. Too often are races just the same location riding the same trails every year... We want riders to look forward to coming back year after year knowing there's always something new in store for them" - Max Fierek

One of the big things we try to do with the event brings a big mountain true enduro feel to the Midwest! So with your registration this year, you will get two full days of racing, access to fully stocked aid stations, professional timing on the same system as used by the EWS, lift for the bike park stages, multiple shuttles and so much more!

Central Hillside Park

Another big update for 2019 is the addition of the "GromDuro" which is an abbreviated version of the race for the younger rippers who will ride 4-5 stages handpicked by local Groms themselves.

Registration is open now and capped at 150 riders so make sure you get registered ASAP!! We work extra hard to keep the price down and make the event accessible to all riders with the entry fee only running $60!

Really wishing that this wasn't the same weekend as the Lutsen 99er. This looks like its gonna be great!

Oh man...I was curious why those dates were sounding familiar, thought it was my anniversary or something.

I know! Unfortunately it was necessary to get all the needed permits. We do actually have quite a few riders coming over after Lutsen to spectate the urban stage and race day 2! So come on out!

Really 2 different crowds for the most part. I'd look at it this way; Canal Park, Spirit Mtn, Enduro vs. Lutsen, Papa Charlies, 99 miles of gravelish. Makes things pretty clear in my book.

@NionixMedia: No worries man, you guys rock and the effort to host this.... top notch.
I'm not doing the Lutsen thing, hopefully I'll be doing this, if I can get out of that work thing.

Agreed. Really hope they land on separate weekends next year if it happens again. Last year's Hard Enduro was the coolest race I've been apart of, but Lutsen 99er is arguably the biggest XC mountain bike event in the state. I know they're very different riding styles, but I'm sure there are others like me who enjoy doing both.

It’s not the only thing that’s hard right now

After this winter, a lot of the man built features on the roads are already in place.

Last years race was one of the best days I've ever spent on a bike, and this looks even better!

Eureka Springs had the first Urban Stage in America over a year ago.

So is stage 1 an exhibition stage or does it count toward the overall?
