Amazing craftsmanship and riding @dsheffer!! .....great camera work @scottsecco and @brycepiwek !! Cheers boys....next round of beers are on us!! Freeride Lives!!!!!!
I was listening to this and Jawbreaker the other day thinking; if I had a segment in a movie, I'd probably pick one of those two! Great work Scott and great riding too. More of this stuff in future. Perfect!!!!
@cool3: to feel young at heart is not an easy thing to do....I know a lot of people that have "quit" at the age of 40. So stay strong and keep this approach my friend. I will try to translate a famous Greek rock song for you " ....we shall never die ...motherf@cker undertaker..."
@TZAK: Thanks! BTW, I absolutely love Greece. Been there when I was 15 and came back (to Crete) in 2006 and 2016. This is what paradise looks like to me. I can't wait to go back there.
Hell yeah lads that was friggin rad! @scottsecco hinted at it in October 2016 in the fire drop photo comments and now it's here! I just want to build some features now!
@juicebanger Glad to hear you're inspired! Yeah, this project took ages for us to shoot. I ended up crashing a drone into a tree during the making of it... not my best work.
@Waldon83: haha oh buddy, I should put together a drone crash reel. Only bad thing is they tend to stop recording and not save the shot in the event of a super hard hit. Not that I've done that multiple times or anything.
Hey @juicebanger, these days I'm rocking a Phantom 4 Pro! We actually shot this video ages ago though, and I used the Phantom 3 Pro and a 3DR Solo with a GoPro attached (and I just de-fished the shots in post).
Insane amount of work must have gone into that trail! So cool to see someone able to match their riding talent with equal trail building talent. Good work Dylan, scott and bryce!
If there is a heaven it will be filled with trails like this and I will be given the skills to ride them. Amazing work @scottsecco and fantastic riding Dylan........awesomeness!
I’ve walked part of this track and I was nearly crapping myself just on that huge roller and here you go just dropping it like it was nothing!! Mad props to your riding and building dedication.
That video makes me want to fire up my MS261 and go out and build some more features. Well done to all involved in that project. You all invested ton of time into that. Thanks for sharing.
This maybe just be me....BUT - Why would they use a thumbnail thats not a scene in the video? Spent the whole vid looking forward to him launching over that bonfire and it never happened. Managing expectations...!!?
Sick video otherwise. Big gaps and smooth riding and a good soundtrack. Fine work.
Not a 576 its a 395 so bigger i love it tho more power allows me to rip boards a little more before sharpening the chains. Thats my small 24" bar in the pictures with the sprocket size i found it isnt optimal for ripping i typically run a 33" once you use em long enough the weight isnt bad. Good workout haha
@rrolly: close but not quite...but we shouldn't be blasting out the location of cool trails like this anyways, unless we want to bring undue attention to them.
Idk if you remember the chainsaw massacre on Cypress, but bad things happen when the gnar gets overexposed, especially wooden gnar.
@maxwellington: got it - but it sucks that even the possibility of some vindictive person out there restricts others' freedom. I find in general the people up here in the valley and on the Shore get along quite well.
great video but i am sorry as when i saw freeride i expected something else, northshore type stuff, slow drops to flat, etc...anyhow amazing riding, but the term freeride means something different to me.
Is it freeride when you built a trail and with loads of North Shore? I dont mean to be that person but i always considered freeride to be down steep, raw, mountains with only a little work to make it rideable or add a jump or two.
Still an awesome video just not what i would call freeride
you are refering to big mountain, afaik freeride is ride whatever you want as stylish as you can while not being on the clock. Big mountain is a subset of freeriding
There was not a single freeride line in that entire video. That was a built, sculpted trail. Freeride is riding lines that you find in terrain (stairgaps, drop-offs from a ledge onto a natural transition, office park landscaping, etc), which is how rampage began...as in freeride skiing...and even that is now just a huge slopestyle course.
That said...excellent trail. Excellent music, and more importantly..... Excellent riding. [Reply]
