Anakin with Effigear drivetrain

As a result of ten years of research and development, the Effigear gearbox has been available to buy and ride since 2013. Every time we present our Effigear system, while at a show or simply when we are out riding, the question "How does it work?" surfaces quickly.

Sram X0 compatible with effigear.
Effigear can work with a standard trigger shifter.

To answer this question, with the help of Nicolas Manson from Sunny Side Up and Pixel Commando, we came up with a short video which shows simply the gear selection inside of our gearbox:

More importantly, we like action! Benoit Coulanges and Quentin Chomier had fun in front of camera to show how great it's to ride with a gearbox. This video was executed in partnership with Asterion and Aivee.

Sram, Shimano... Don't want the products that will break their fix and replace annually, bi annually, monthly derailleur based parts sales monopoly getting too much notice.

To be fair as press releases go it's terrible. Literally about 2 seconds of an exploded view of the gearbox (which looks pretty cool by the way) but it's hardly the description you'd want if you're going to drop money on buying one.

 I like it & I believe in it.....but it's weight needs to drop to that of a 1X drivetrain with a 10-42 cassette... =]
