1st Enduro MTB Trophy of Nations - EMTN

What race allows 3 members to a team, and they are all competing for the same thing?

The EMTN first annual Enduro MTB race is coming up, so grab your fairy boots and get out there.THE CONCEPT
This is very simple. 3 Enduro pilots under the same national jersey, who will fight for their country.

WHY ?
Because all of the “Major” sports like Motocross, Trials, Rugby, Soccer, Karting or Golf organize such an event each year, with competitors coming from every part of the world, representing their country. So why does such an event still not exist in Enduro Mountain Bike ?

WHEN ?
The 16th and 17th of August 2008, for the Enduro Series finals in Les Deux Alpes resort.

HOW ?
Teams of 3 pilots, each one of them coming from the same country and representing it, will take place at the start of the Final race of the Enduro Series in Les Deux Alpes : the "Glacier Classic". These teams will run for their nation. They will have to make the shortest overall time of the ten races during the week end. The “fastest team of the world” will win the Trophy, putting the focus on its nation.

THE BATTLE
Exceptionnally for the E.MTN event, an eleventh race will appear on the summit of Les Deux Alpes resort. Only the members of the national teams, will run. This will be the top moment of this week end of exception, and it will give us the final results.

OVER THE TOP
A minimum 5000 euros prize money will be distributed to the pilots on the podium.

WHAT IS ENDURO ?
This is a way to return back to the roots of Mountain Bike, to its real spirit… During one full week end of race, the riders are alone, competing against the chronometer They have to fulfill 10 races, representing around 10 000 meters of downhill in total, over three different tracks called “bordered tracks”.

WHERE ?
In the French Alps, in Les Deux Alpes resort, ''THE'' original area of Mountain Bike. The Enduro practice uses the chairlifts of the resorts, and the pilots are racing through the most beautiful Alpine tracks.

WHO ?
The fastest French pilots, some of the best in the world, have already competed for one week end or a full season : Nicolas Vouilloz, Anne-Caroline Chausson, Rémy Absalon, Alex Balaud or Karim Amour… But foreign pilots are also here !
They are more and more to participate, and other superstars of the World Cup, like Fabien Barel, or Mark Weir, are ready to come and compete. There will be some superstars around here…

Take an appointment for the 16th and 17th of August 2008 the history is going forward... and will take place in Les Deux Alpes for the Enduro Series finals, nowhere else.

Race Update
Nicolas Vouilloz confirmed that he will lead Team 1 France to compete into the first Enduro MTB Trophy of Nations. His first choice for team mates are Fabien Barel and Julien Camelini…Whaou !

And what about if the first winning team of the first Enduro MTB Trophy of nations will be Andorra? Not impossible since we know the composition of the Team 1 Andorra with Remy Absalon,Greg Noce and Yvan Spregogna all Commencal riders of course ! Fantastic news also with the announce of Sabrina Jonnier done here at the office (she’s our neighbor), to build a 100% girls team. Probably, Sabrina and the girls will not just come to participate, but to kill few males.
