2015 European Enduro Series - Round 4, Paganella

Sep 6, 2015
by Trail Solutions
On 5-6 September, enduro mountain biking is back in the north of Italy. After hosting the Italian SuperEnduro the beautiful region of Molveno-Paganella becomes again the venue of an outstanding enduro event. The fourth stop of the European Enduro Series started today with the mandatory training. Slippery and wet, but with a lot of fun parts the riders described the trails in Paganella. Five stages will lead the riders through almost the whole Molveno-Paganella area and for the first time in the history of EES, the racetrack will be longer than the transfer tracks. So more kilometers are judged than not judged. Daniel, the course manager, gives his word for tomorrow: “The rain makes the track much more interesting and technical riding is more necessary than before. But still, the riders will definitely have a good time.”

Mandatory training for the 4th stop of the European Enduro Series at Molveno-Paganella, Italy.

Can Germany’s, Markus Reiser increase his lead ahead of top riders like Michal Prokop (CZE), James Shirley or Robert Williams (GBR)? With Marcus Klausman, 15-times German Champion in downhill mountain biking, they will have another top rider to beat. Big competition is also to be expected from Nicola Casadei (ITA), classified 42nd in the EWS, and also from Denny Lupato (ITA), winner of the first ever EES race in Punta Ala in 2014.

However, not only the Men Elite Class, but also the women are fighting for the top of the podium. Will Swiss rider Monika Büchi cope with nerves and pressure to take victory and the lead in the overall standings? Four ladies from Germany will try to prevent that: Sandra Börner (GER), Lisa Policzka (GER), Raphaela Richter (GER) and Franzi Meyer (GER) – finally back from injury in her first EES race since the European championships.
