Join Tracy Moseley and Ric McLaughlin as they scan the pits at the fourth round of the EWS in Ireland to check out what the pros are running this weekend, including the new Ibis Mojo HD 4.
Tracy is awesome in all respects - one of the best all-time racers across multiple disciplines, great ambassador for the sport and seems like such an all-around wonderful person...
@Steve-skidvd: maybe I'm not understanding this comment. Are you saying this because she's female? I don't see people needing to say this about the likes of Eddie Masters, or Fabien Barel etc..
@IrishTom: I'm going to stick my neck out and suggest that the comment was made at this point because she co-hosted the video I've seen a million positive comments about Peaty, Minaar, Hill, Barel etc over the years. What a weird thing to say.....
@wallheater: I guess I was wondering why would there be any doubt she'd kick our ass? Of course she would I haven't seen comments about Peaty etc saying, oh guess what he would actually kick my ass.
I was just commenting on her attitude in general - I'll say the same thing about Richie Rude (or Aaron Gwynn or Greg Minnaer or choose any of this sport's top performers)...for such extraordinary jedi-level athletes/champions, their demeanor and constitution seem incredibly genuine and humble. It's just impressive. And yes, all of them, Mosely included, would kick all of our asses.
@phclaw: I didn't reply to your comment though. I replied to Stevie-skidvd and his comment. Think @wallheater misread it and thought I was replying to yours.T-Mo has a great attitude
As much as I like your coverage for EWS, I'm more a photo/text than a videoguy. Would be nice if you could spin of a real article out of videos like this.
The Ibis HD3 “would” be at the top of my list, but… the reach on a large HD3 is woefully short 431mm, and in no alternate universe would my 5-foot-10-1/2-inch self be riding an XL frame.
Though I would consider an XL, IF a 150mm dropper post, slammed into the frame wasn’t so close to working/not working for my inseam length.
Nowadays with all of the different seat angles and kinked / laid back seat tubes, the only true way to compare apples to apples between frame manufacturers - as far as it relates to rider fit - is the reach measurement.
Real world example: My current bike - a less-than-modern by any standard large 2014 Specialized Enduro S-Works carbon 26” - has a reach measurement of 450mm, and with a 50-60mm stem has absolutely the perfect reach for me (considering inseam / torso / arm length, pelvic tilt, and riding style).
The XL Ibis HD3 has a reach of 446mm, which would be all good if the seat tube wasn’t so tall (or so correct for an XL).
And I’m not a fan of how far some companies are pushing these reach (and head angle) numbers, as if “more” can only mean “better”
So I can’t wait to see the new HD4 on Tuesday… hoping they didn’t go too crazy with the numbers, and lose the Mojo ride in the process.
I just love Tracy (kiss you if I could, maybe next life )and the rest, ibis WTF is your priorities , nice sticker from yo,and I'm not the pilot anymore I just ride the bike the way this piece of sh?t tell's me to how to ride my bike(or maybe it's just for marketing ),biking is getting a little a joke ,well maybe like the rest of the others things in the world ,I real big joke ,GO SAM HILL and CECILLE ,make them wondering
I have some mistakes on my text just ignor'it ,but only the whriting ones ,beer does catches you some day and that stupid corrector (still love you Tracy, can resist, sorry)
Thanks Kickme
