@scott-townes: Pshh good luck - this is going to look great on my girlfriend's baby blue beach cruiser with pedal brakes.

Not going to happen you have 4 followers and some content on your page...

too bad you paid zero dollars to enter

Can I just win a super lightweight 9 speed cassette with 9-50 range?

Please.
  • 18 0
I personally am stoked to see this company trying something new. Not having to readjust your shifting because of cable stretch every month or two is a huge bonus for me. Would love to give this a shot. Bonus points if I get it before Trans Sierra Norte.
  • 13 1
Thanks! We're crossing our fingers for you. Smile
  • 5 0
Idk, cable's should only stretch a bit when new and then settle out... might be something else?

But, I HOPE YOU WIN!
  • 3 0
@jcav5: We used to always say when I worked at a shop that cables don't stretch, but they do settle into housing.
  • 3 0
@skycripp according to The United Bicycle Institute, cables don't stretch. The housing and ferrules compress.
  • 8 0
@skycripp Sounds like you have to fiddle with your shifting all the time because you fiddle with your shifting all the time.

@fullfacemike: Yeah dude, because I'm so much faster than you.

If only they included the 13speed specific hub in the giveaway, I would be even more grateful when I don’t win it!
  • 9 0
I can use a new drivetrain....
  • 8 0
Could I take the 12sp cassette if I win?
  • 4 0
Ya I want the 12 please and pretty sure I'm going to win.
  • 2 2
@jorgeposada: We have a good feeling about it. Smile
  • 5 0
 Pick me please! Smile

I met your support team at Newbury Park a while back and love your products. Would love for this to go on my next XC bike.
  • 3 1
Nice! We'll cross our fingers for you. Smile

I hope I win this so I’ll finally have a legit excuse to get a new bike, since I have a feeling this won’t work 100% perfectly on my 2008 Scott gambler... also just curious, it seems like this won’t include a hub with the required hub body, does the 12 speed cassette fit a normal shimano or xd hub body?
  • 1 1
Hi! It is the 12s compatible version, since that is compatible with any HG freehub body.
  • 5 0
I'm a singlespeed luddite. Naturally, I expect to win this.
  • 2 2
 It's inevitable. Smile
  • 2 0
I've entered. Been wanting hydraulic gears for decades!

The most important question though...

When I win, are the socks available size 12?

One size fits all socks are too small!

Thanks rotor
  • 1 1
Ha ha ha, you nailed it... XL for you. Smile
  • 4 0
This picture is taken like 10 min from my house. Crazy
  • 3 2

The ???? was supposed to be a Smile

Not sure why the formatting went wonky.
  • 2 1
@pnwpedal: That's in Draper, UT, just south of Salt Lake City, where our North American HQ is located. Good riding year round, even when it's snowing 30 miles away in the mtns! Smile
  • 3 0
I love the idea of hydraulic shifting. No sticking or breaking cables, or batteries to charge...
  • 1 1
@5piggies yeah, we think the same thing. i don't think we can link to the videos here, but check out the features we put in, in the event you manage to rip out a shifting hose! We tried to think of everything. Smile
  • 2 0
(When) if I win, I'm going to say I have albatross. Can't wait to hear form you...letting me know I won! I'll be sure to act surprised!
  • 2 0
Back when I was in school one of my projects was to design a pneumatic shifting system for a bike. Glad to see that hydraulic is here!I want to touch!
  • 2 1
@krashDH85 come say HI at Sea Otter next April! Or Philly Bike, end of this month... Smile
  • 2 0
I am really excited in winning this new technology... I am wishing for the 10-52 cassette, it will be a great upgrade for my bike!!!
  • 1 0
I’m not on this every gear option train. I’d like a 7 speed ranging from 9-50 tooth. Get rid of all the stuff I never use but adds bulk and weight. Simplicity would be sweet.
  • 7 3
 im still riding 3X9 XD
  • 9 0
 im sorry!
  • 2 0
9 speed on an XD driver? Quite the retro-future hack Wink
  • 3 0
 I don't know about 1x13, but I am looking for a 6-blade razor.
  • 9 1
 Like the scooter? Sweet. Wink
  • 2 0
 @ROTORBikeComponents
Does this system need to be bled like brakes? Seems pretty cool. Haters gonna hate.
  • 4 2
It has to be bled on initial installation, but since it's a closed system (unlike brakes,) will have an indefinite service interval. I have the hydraulic system on my bike for testing, and it's been 2 years. :0

Whoever is lucky enough to win this is going to be very happy. Hopefully that someone is me!! I like being happy.
  • 2 1
@jasonlars666 You deserve to be happy Wink
  • 2 0
I have a swore 10speed I have been nursing for years. I hope I win Smile thanks rotor you products are awesome!!!!
  • 2 1
@Cspringsrider no, YOU're awesome! Good luck. Big Grin
  • 1 0
312g cassette, this is pretty great, the current generation of SRAM 12 speed and 11 speed cassettes weigh approximately one solar system sun equivalent.
  • 1 0
Wasn't going to enter (I'm good for drivetrains, ATM), but the Rotor rep replying to these comments has such a good online persona I had to pile on!
  • 1 0
I’m a cable guy. I have cable TV, I have a cable drivetrain and I laid cable twice today. So it would have to be a flawless system to get me to go hydro.
  • 2 0
I did just put the Kapic crank (round) on my bike.....
  • 2 1
I would rather have the chain rings than the whole drivetrain honestly. Dont want to bleed my drivetrain!
  • 4 0
But it says it is maintenance free. Does that mean you don't have to lube it either?
  • 3 1
Even if i win, not sure what to do with that? It will require new hub
  • 4 4
Good on ya, doing the research! You can run it as 12s with any HG freehub body. We figured giving someone hubs would make it too complex. Smile
  • 16 0
Welcome to PinkBike, where people complain about free stuff!! @ROTORBikeComponents:
  • 1 1
@ROTORBikeComponents: If you want to slide a hub in with the package, I think I can manage a wheelbuild to run it!
  • 2 0
*Fingers crossed* I love trying new and unique stuff.
  • 1 1
 Yeaaaaaah! Smile
  • 2 0
Been eyeing this up! Fingers crossed!
  • 2 0

Currently running 11 spd I hope I can skip right to the bakers dozen!
  • 3 2
@JockoJones Baker's Dozen! We like that... may use it in the future. Wink
  • 2 0
 My bum knee is interested
  • 1 0
They'll use it and give you nothing for it
  • 2 0
13 is my lucky # which is why I still won't win!
  • 1 0
Lol "Last groupset you'll ever buy" so it seems they've solved that wear problem on all drivetrain components...
  • 3 1
@tgent not totally, but you know what's cool? If you use higher quality alloy, they last a lot longer. Our road chainrings have a lifetime warranty against wear! The MTB are made of the same 7-series aluminum. We want to reduce waste, and keep you on the trail. Smile
  • 2 0
 Need this Spanish bling! Vamos!!
  • 2 1
@jettgam ha ha VENGA! Good luck!
  • 2 0

Are these the cranks with the power meter or without?
  • 1 3
These are the standard cranks, but our INspider power meter is compatible with 'em! Good luck Smile
  • 2 0
 Did I lose this yet?
  • 2 1
@nickgarrison October 25 is the final date! You'll find out you lost then. Wink

JK, good luck!
  • 1 0
Gonna put it up on Craigslist.
  • 1 0
"Trans Phobic" how did they know?
  • 1 0
badass some lucky person will get this for free 99.
  • 1 0
Rather have 11 or fewer speeds.
  • 1 0
They literally can't even a oval chainring the right direction.
  • 1 0
I would be more happy if I won even only the chainring
  • 1 0
Did anyone win? Or was it a scam ?????
  • 1 0
 Will this fit my huffy?
  • 1 0
 nice try pb!!.. Big Grin
  • 1 4
 Id rather get an Ebike......
  • 2 0
