The Winner will choose between:

Option A: Dominion A4 and ProTaper Bar/Grip Combo - $644.95 USD

• Dominion A4:
Making power is easy, making power with the right feel is the real challenge. Dominion
combines endless braking power with intuitive modulation and the industry’s lightest
lever feel. Dominion’s master cylinder is factory tuned for the shortest dead stroke
possible and a crisp bite point. The Dominion A4 caliper utilizes four pistons in the most
structurally rigid design possible. The brake set includes two D-Series rotors available in
160mm, 180mm, and 203mm.

• ProTaper Bar/Grip Combo:
Thicker in all the right places, ProTaper has been an industry leader in handlebar
technology since day one.

Bar width: 810mm, Clamp Diameter: 31.8 or 35mm, Rise: 0mm, 12.7mm, or 25.4mm,
Material: 7050 Aluminum

Our Meat Hammer grips will keep you from beating your palms on the most rugged of
trails.

Option B: ProTaper JUNIT Bar/Grip Combo and Dominion A2 SFL - $644.95 USD

• ProTaper JUNIT Bar/Grip Combo
Designed specifically for younger riders with smaller hands, the ProTaper JUNIT bar/grip
combo provides superior comfort and control to your favorite mini riding buddy.

Bar width: 680mm, Clamp Diameter: 31.8, Rise: 12.7mm, Material: 7050 Aluminum
Dominion A2 SFL

Using the same tech from our Dominion A4 brake system, we have dropped the piston
count in the rear to two while maintaining that Dominion feel. With the SFL (short finger
lever), this brake is perfect for those with smaller hands or those who prefer smaller
levers. The brake set will include two D-Series rotors available in 160mm, 180mm, and
203mm.

Cool of them to offer up a set for adults and a set for juniors!

Just noticed the caliper had little dots on the side at the post mounts. Looked it up and those are actually set screws. That's freakin' genius!!! No more fiddling to get your caliper alignment dialed.

Was Hayes - 9 deliberate? I hope so. Classic bit of kit.
  • 5 1
Guessing you haven’t read anything about these. Everyone that rides them loves them. Guessing you don’t think dh your makes good suspension either.
  • 4 0
Are these brakes any good in the real world? Someone with experience?
  • 4 0
They are awesome. Tons of power and the best lever feel I have found.
  • 4 0
I switched from sram to shimano, still wasn't happy. Switched to the dominions and I will never look back. Tons of power and the lever feel is incredible, so smooth. Hayes is back for sure.
  • 3 0
Yep, nothing but good feels for Dominions. I've run a ton of different brakes, these are the best that I've used.
  • 3 0
They are amazing, been running them for a year now. I've ridden quite a few brakes and these are by far the most powerful and least fatiguing to use. They are also super reliable, have not had an issue with them yet.
  • 3 0
I have been running them for a year now and am very happy with their overall performance, stopping power and lever feel (no tired fingers, light with good modulation). Took the LBS mech a couple tries to get them bled properly but since then (1yr) they haven't needed any maintenance.
  • 3 0
I've been on them a few months and they are really good. They have excellent power, modulation, and lever feel. Despite being heavier, I've yet to get them to fade, and they have some really nice design features. The only complaint I have is the bleed process can be a bit more tedious than with the Bleeding Edge tool, but once you get the hang of it, it isn't bad.

Cool, sounds like a winner then. Thanks.

My last name is Hayes, too bad that doesn’t help me here. I remember when I first found out about Hayes brakes. I spent a day or two coming through my 23andMe trying to find out if they were a relative of mine lol.
  • 2 0
Hmmm. If I win, do they go on my bike or my daughter's?... Actually, right now, she's not in Santa's "nice" list, so new brake and bar day for me!
  • 2 0
Did QBP kill Answer or is this some kind of a Dodge vs ram rebranding thing?
  • 1 0
Answer isn't a QBP brand. They are still a Hayes brand, and they mostly do high end BMX race parts.
  • 1 0
As previously stated with a link. Answer got rebranded Protaper for some strange reason. Have an answer stem and bar on my bike and love it.
  • 2 0
Am I the only one that didn't know ProTaper made mtb bars?
  • 1 0
 Yes.
