On the off chance I do win it I'm slightly concerned people will think I'm rich and can ride well.

Have no fear - people will still judge you whether or not you win!

Didn’t you see, those glasses have 50” flat TV inside?!
  • 10 0
@UncleSpec: you could even use them to replace the windshield of your lorry in case it breaks!

I had some POC sunglasses several years back, they were quite pricey $200ish dollars and felt like they used cheap plastic. The temple broke from repeated flexing from putting on and off my face.

This is the perfect type of prize for me; quality stuff that I think looks great and that I'd like, but that I'm way too cheap to buy for myself!

Also, I'm definitely going to be colour-matching my lenses to my jacket moving forward.

Finally I can stop wearing the same 2 lightweight vented XC shorts with knee-high socks all winter, I haven’t worn pants since 2015

Lots of comments about the price, but I replaced a set of knee pads a few years back with some POC VPD 2s. They’re still in great shape. Well-built, quality product. (And they fit better, too. But that’s going to vary from person to person). In contrast, if I had replaced my old pads with the same model, they would already be frayed and worn out at this point in their life cycle, essentially costing me more money, because I would have had to replace the original twice.

Wow, add some shoes, baselayer and gloves and you have an outfit for the price of a rideable hardtail Wink
  • 5 1
If you want all that from Poc it'll cost a bit more. Have you considered selling the car and the house?

Cool, looks like POC still doesn't make adjustable chin straps on their helmets - totally useless, and frankly unsafe.
  • 1 0
 Is it actually unadjustable??
  • 1 0
The length at the buckle is adjustable, but the part under your ears is not.
