Enter to Win A SRAM Code RSC Brakeset - Pinkbike's Advent Calendar Giveaway

Dec 1, 2019
by Pinkbike Staff

CONTEST NOW CLOSED. The winner of the SRAM Code RSC Brakeset is Pinkbike user drumdilly .
Congratulations drumdilly

Prize Details:
With Code, we tackled the problem of all-or-nothing, on/off braking. We built an authoritative 4-piston caliper and expanded the PiggyBack reservoir, giving Code fistfuls of power. Then, we added a range of contact adjustments and pads, allowing you to determine how and when you dispense of that power. They’re your brakes. Tune them just right.

The prize pack includes:
• SRAM Code RSC Brakeset with CenterLine Rotors
• MSRP: $245 USD

Learn more at www.sram.com.

To be eligible, you must be logged into your Pinkbike account. If you don't have one, you can sign up here.

There will be new prizes revealed every day in the lead up to Dec 25th so check the Advent Calendar daily on the front page of Pinkbike and make sure you enter for a chance to win.

Winners will be notified via the email associated with their Pinkbike account within 48 hours of their name being drawn.

Happy Holidays!

I'm retired, I had a good run but my rhymes are getting stale. Does anyone else want to take up the mantle?
  • 20 1
@redshift: Bullshit! 2 years ago I would wait every day for your post so I can give you props.
Bottom line is that you become a genuine herald of Christmas on Pinkbike.
If Santa can come always no matter how much Rudolph is waisted, I think that you should make an effort too.

@redshift: Dr. Dre had a couple of those phases, but after a while he was the one to say "guess who's back"

 @redshift:

I'll take it on this year dude, enjoy the pipe and warm fire.

On the first day of Christmas Pinkbike gave to me some Codes to perform a stoppie.

If I win these maybe they will arrive before the EWS round 2 prize I won 8 months ago and I AM STILL WAITING FOR!

I feel your pain. Got my first round EWS prize 5 weeks ago.

What are you waiting for still?

@freeridejerk888: I won some Di2 stuff, rear mech, shifter etc.

On the first day of Christmas Pinkbike clickbaited me, for a SRAM Code brakeset RSC

"Surely this year I will finally win something!" Is what I've been telling myself every year.
  • 11 1
I'm not a statistician, but as an engineer I'd say statistically speaking you're pretty much guaranteed to win.
  • 7 0
@JohnnyVV: I'm not an engineer, but as video guy I'd say I can picture you winning.
  • 17 0
Itssss baaaaccckkkk!!! Win or not, this is fun. Fingers crossed though!

 "brakeset with rotors"
MSRP: $245 USD

Wait, is the winner getting one or two brakes LOL
  • 15 1
 Yes.
  • 4 0
 One brake, two rotors.
  • 12 0
I'm confused. Are they only giving away Code RSC for one end of the bike? The MSRP that is listed and the picture are for one rotor, caliper and lever.
  • 6 0
it's a complete set for an unicycle.

First day of advent giveaway and my wife is already pissed off. Because I supposedly complain every single day (for at least 5 years) how I never get anything.
Women..

Some people can't take a hint, eh?

@rrolly: That's ok. As long as I can find black bikes on the market. She is playing along and pretending that I ride the very same bike I rode 10 years ago.
Same with me when she buys all that shoes and bags for almost nothing because black Friday is apparently every other day
  • 1 0
@pakleni: lol! My wife plays the "I bought this a long time ago" game. She's not lying. She did, but then waits to pull the item out to make it seem like I'm just not paying attention. I go along with it because I think it's hilarious that she's got some things tucked away waiting for some imaginary "oh-this-old-thing" date. . . that and I love her. She's pretty awesome (she helped me buy my last two bikes).

We know, we get it you hate Sram so don`t enter today
  • 9 0
 It’s December already?
  • 5 1
 Pinkbikers,

On the first day with a fully suspended bike give away, I respectfully request that you do not enter, so that I will win the bike by default. I am looking for a new ride in 2020, and do not wish to shell out my hard earned cash. But feel free to enter on any hardtail bike give aways (I am too old for such a bike).

I thank you in advance for supporting me on this.

Everybody hates on SRAM brakes ... so nobody should enter to win these garbage brakes?? I have codes and they are best brakes I've ever owned. Would like to upgrade my dh bike to a set of these for next year
  • 11 4
 Best brakes on the market
  • 5 1
Agreed. After I tried them I ditched my Hopes.
  • 11 5
 when compared with Guides..
  • 2 2
Damn some one hasn’t tried Saints , hopes or trp
  • 2 0
@freeridejerk888: tried them all. Liked the codes best.
  • 2 0
You kidding right. Got them on my new bike, had to bleed them 5 times a month so the lever don't go all the way to bars and after month both of the bite point adjusters seized up. Rubbish brakes, put my V4 back on and Im happy camper now. Btw. got a rebuild set of RSC for sale or trade for Saints Wink

I am sure it has been said already and I missed it in my scan...

On the first day of Christmas PB finally gave to me the whole bloody field test article...
On a later day of Christmas SRAM better step it up with a full AXL drivetrain (or the forums better give them hel...I add under my breath)
On the day after Christmas I will burst into tears as I haven't won a bloody thing...

I do love this contest and I just know I am going to win this year...

You're the one. I typically try to avoid Avid... er, ah... Sram brakes.
  • 6 0
@BikesBoatsNJeeps: in fairness, Codes don't feel like Guides. Despite a long history of being an anti-SRAM-for-brakes guy, I actually like my Code Rs.
  • 7 0
@BikesBoatsNJeeps: bet you still entered the giveaway?
  • 4 0
@toooldtodieyoung: I concur my dude. Been a shimano brake fanboy. New rig came with codes. Holy shite. Impressive
  • 1 0
@NotNamed: nope all my rigs are set, and I'm not building anything this year, and it's disingenuous to enter with the hope to win to just turn around and sell the junk on CL. Although I may put together a cargo bike this year, but even so, I have tools and consumables for my Shimano and Shimagura set ups, I really don't want to need to buy another bleed kit plus DOT fluid and spares, so I'll Probaby use my industry discount to buy some $40 Shimanos and save the need to purchase a whole slew of crap just to feed one bike.

This is so cool! I would love to win these brakes, as I am only 13, and spent the rest of my money helping my friend fix his bike after he crashed, so I know don't have the money to buy brakes. This is so cool though, it would be the best Christmas ever to get those.
  • 1 1
I can hear Coldplay playing in the background to your message dude, i reckon you might win this!
  • 2 1
@nordland071285: I would love to win these, as I am truly serious. My friend rides a 2016 YT Capra AL comp, and he hit the biggest step up in my area (it's over in socal), and he drilled his bars straight into the ground, (which are carbon), and they snapped, along with his brake lever snapping off on the left brake, and the right one was in peices. He has done me many favors in the past, so I gave him my brakes, (sram guides) and the money to buy new bars. I guess it is a little Christmas present to him.
  • 1 1
@20060713: Well i hope you win them my friend Smile happy riding
