Overall it was a great race with some gnarly stages!
BUT i was pretty disappointed with the course markings and finishes. Track 4 was VERY poorly marked!
All of the finishes seemed almost trickery. The stage would blast out onto doubletrack but the finish was 50 feet uphill after a hard right. Kinda f*cked up IMO.
Also it sucked that the lifts weren't open to get a warm up lap before the race started. Everyone was there at 8... and no one could ride until 9:30. And Saturday was the first day the park was open this year... So if you couldn't come saturday, you were screwed.
I had fun but for $75 i expected more. ($5 chip prereg, $60 am reg, $10 race plate)
You are right. I wish I could have made it. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive for me so next year maybe I'll have to plan on doing that.
Honestly it was a great day with great trails. Just seemed like the organizers were stretched a bit thin. Next year maybe I'll volunteer instead of racing.
I am also comparing it to last years Mt Creeks KOM Enduro which was incredibly well marked and staffed. Plattekill was much more DIY with the starts and stages and altogether a different vibe. But KOM Enduro was only 30 bucks...
the 40-49 winner has time good enough for 9th in pro/open, I hope I get that fast when i get into my 40s.

Yeah, it's a long drive but it's better than paying to sit in a stuffy room and talk to a therapist whilst getting little results in return.
