Flying through the green

When you live at the bottom of Mt Fromme, you get to ride your bike, a lot. And when you ride your bike a lot, you get fast. Evan has enjoyed the view from the Juniors podium in a few recent races, including several BC Enduro series races and NAET round one, so here's a look at his riding style: brakes off, huck to flat.

It's only a case if you feel it.

That's no case. Just a back wheel tap! I like the old school post drop but let's all pitch in and buy him a Race Face dropper.

Wish I could afford a bike like that when I was in school...

When I was in high school I worked a full time job and paid for my bikes that way. When I was in university I worked full time during school and 2 jobs during the summer. Now I'm out of school and work 2 jobs. Since I was 16 I've been able to afford my bikes just by saving my money right and working hard. When there's a will there's a way bud

@dirtjumper771: How can you work a full time job while in high school? Did you mean you were working 40+ hours a week while in high school? Not sure how you even had time to ride when you were working so much. Wild

@Maveri20: I worked after school 4 days and once on weekends, so I managed to go out for 3 rides a week. School was always really easy for me so I rarely studied or did homework in high school, which gave me plenty time for work and bikes. University it was a bit harder but I figured out a good routine and got to go biking 2 days a week (admittedly that was at most). Now I bike 3-4 times a week and last week I worked 80 hours. I'm going part time at one of my jobs though so I'll be able to get 5 rides in a week! Smile

Also, my parents didn't really give me much of a choice about working. My dad grew up working that much so he figured I could too. Otherwise there's no way I'd be where I am now lol

@dirtjumper771: I dig your work ethic. Too many people these days expect everything without knowing what it means to earn your living with hard work. Cheers!

@Maveri20: Thanks man! You're in Seattle? I live in Victoria, if you ever find yourself on the ferry out here for riding let me know and I'll see what I can do to show you around

@dirtjumper771: I'll take you up on that! Give me a shout if you're ever in Seattle!
