The second stop of the 2022 PARTYRIDE TOUR: CPGANG W/ TORQUATO TESTA took place in Amiata Bikepark (Monte Amiata, Tuscany, Italy) where over 300 riders joined us from all over Italy.

The first screaming riders could be heard at 8:00 am when Torquato and Luis went on a hide and seek mission to hand out 40 FREE bike passes supplied by Foodspring.

The excitement was more than understandable given that it was the first time the event took place outside of Mottolino Bikepark (Livigno, Italy) and into new and upcoming bikeparks around the country.

Amiata Bikepark is in fact quite recent, but thanks to the passion of the local community and under the guidance of Emiliano Pinzi, it is quickly establishing itself as a go-to spot for riders in all parts of the country. Its position is also quite central and much more accessible to riders from central and southern Italy, if compared to bikeparks in the Alps. The well groomed trails with flow lines and jump options provided the perfect setting for younger riders to join Torquato on adrenaline filled bikepark laps.

Over 300 riders dropped simultaneously into the "8Volante" trail, a sort of downhill pumptrack.

The program consisted in the classic PARTYRIDE lap with 3 fun challenges in different areas of the park.

The massive train took off towards the “8volante” trail, one of the 9 lift-accessed trails (an additional 3 longer trails are accessible with a dedicated shuttle).
All 300 riders then reached the Jumps Area where a crowd of spectators cheered on during a 20 min Best Whip challenge. Moving onto the “Froggy” trail, a Long Jump challenge took place. Finally, the crowd migrated to the last and perhaps most awaited challenge of the day: the Deathgrip challenge.

Torquato cheering from the front row!

This final challenge saw riders approach a berm, left or right, without breaking and with their hands fully wrapped around the grips (a single finger on the brake would get you eliminated). Riders progressively went from a 40 meters run in, to 200+ meters where only 2 riders battled to remain inside the berm, giving the crowd a show!!

The guys were fully committed for the Deathgrip challenge.. No finger on the brake!

Although PARTYRIDE events are non-competitive, open to everybody and free to join, the day wrapped up with the awards to the 3 riders who sent it extra hard!

The celebration continued at the CPGANG booth where everybody shared a quick chat or a photo with Torquato Testa, Nick Pescetto, Jonny Livorti, Manuel Simion, Luis Biscaldi or Ivo Pasquettin, making sure everyone ended the day with a big smile.

@cpgang: next year, I live in Rome but was in the US for the amiata stop (skipping Monza bc I will die on DJs per normal). Keep on keeping it real, so many inspired kids rolling around bike parks from L’Aquila to VDS repping CP gang. Daje ragaaaa
