Looks gorgeous! It's a shame hwy 2 is turning into a year-round shitshow but I'll still be checking this out.

Seriously. I don't even bother starting to drive back until 8 or 9 these days.

Sunday's are absolutely horrid. My bud crashed big at Stevens a couple weeks ago and we sat in traffic for 3.5 hours to later learn he broke 4 ribs and had a partially collapsed lung. kept him alive on a steady drip of good beer.

@jojotherider1977: thankfully Evergreen has been pounding out those trails in our area. 4K+ at Raging River, and 3.5k so far at Ollalie! Lots of new stuff for us to chew on for a while.

@mtnbykr05: oh, wait, i've done the 4k at RR. The full loop one weekend and then the out and back another. The full loop was a gasser though and I wasn't prepared for it.

Baldy won't be shuttleable. The only road that gets close to the top has been decommissioned by the Forest Service as part of the project. The trail skirts the edge of wilderness boundary in a couple places so this will be a pedal. Trail beyond the meadow is shaping up and should be really fun. There is an upcoming project in the area that will be shuttleable on Maloney Ridge, but it is in the planning phase. Word from the folks scouting and flagging are that it is going to be rad.

@btustison: thank you for the correction. I knew there was a 4K shuttle trail going in in the valley.

@mtnbykr05: ollalie oab to Mt Washington trail is also 4k, and I thought much harder than RR. I think folks round here will be getting fitter in the next few years.
