Source: Shawn Spomer Recently the old school hardtail company known as Evil has stepped it up, and announced that they are going to be creating a downhill bike to rule them all - the Revolt. In conjunction with Dave Weagle, Evil bikes has come up with the DELTAsystem, a suspension patent that utilizes 203mm of travel, and sets a benchmark for performance and tunability.Evil has set the bar for the first year of production by not only revamping the company line up, but releasing the new Revolt prototype, which was designed in conjunction with Dave Weagle. The DELTAsystem is the all new suspension system designed by Dave, who was previously famous for his DW-Link suspension design.
Evil has released the first spy shots of their Revolt, the 203mm Downhill rig that Steve Smith will be piloting this year. Kevin Walsh, Evil bikes president recently had the first creation of the Revolt, which is a very clean looking bike. A small side note, Steve Smith will be riding for Fox Shox, Formula Brakes, and Gravity Components this year. Prior to this deal Steve was on a SRAM, Cove team, so it should be interesting to see where Evil takes young Steve.
The first public showing of the Evil Revolt will be at the Core Bike Show in the UK this weekend, accompanied by Gabe Fox, so swing by and take a peek at the new Evil Revolt.
www.evil-bikes.comWhat is the DELTAsystem? Born of high expectations, the DELTA system is the third cycling-specific suspension engineered by Dave Weagle, one of the world's leading authorities on integrated suspension design. This new system promises to live up to those expectations backed up with the pedigree of multiple World Cup and World Championship titles. The heart of this new patent pending design is a compact linkage system that allows tunability for virtually any wheel rate that can be imagined. Integration with air springs or shocks is just the beginning. The system allows infinite frame geometry adjustment without any compromise or change to leverage and wheel rates. This unique feature allows riders to dial in their frame geometry and ride the way that they like it, and still maintain factory level suspension performance. The DELTA system is owned exclusively by Evil Bikes and is pending patent worldwide.

how is this in any meaningfull way, different from a commencal? (also nice)
all i'm saying is, there really isn't any reason to lose control of your bladder.
a shitty vpp/dw link copy that doesn't have the geometries figured out right
maybe you're too smart to notice the obvious?
you're right though they aren't totally similar.
the vpp and dw link uses carefully though out mathematics to come up with their system.
instead of random stabs in the dark like the canfield
and no, i don't give a f*ck what a magazine says about a bike, i don't have that much faith that you'd be getting a totally honest opinion since it's all about advertising dollars.
but i would look at what the top pro's are winning on, why wouldn't you?
does cove have another racer for smith??
I really liked the shocker, too, but im curious how the evil will do!!
evil has alway been one of my fave companies.
evils new bike looks fu*king stunning
to me it looks more like a supercycle.
p.s. not really trying to start anything but this always kind of pisses me off when people say a bike looks like another bike. what the point anyway?
oh and btw nice bike, and steve will do this bike proud this year.
