After last year’s amazing event, everyone was looking forward to returning and it didn’t disappoint. The crowds were even bigger and miraculously the sun was also out once again.
Last year we saw local hero Greg Callaghan take the win, the swarming excitable crowds all clearly wanted a repeat. With Tracy Moseley also back for a recess from her retirement, it was always going to be an exciting race to see if these two riders, the crowd, and the venue could repeat last year's magic. We certainly weren’t disappointed. It was drama at every turn.

2. Martin Maes is probably 100x faster than me even without a back tire.
3. Richie Rude is a beast.
4. Sam Hill!!!!
5. And last but not least; excellent EWS coverage as usual. Love these recaps.
a Gaelic word, with no exact English translation. The closest you get is “fun." There’s the expression “ceoil agus craic," meaning “music and fun," probably once used by locals to fortify themselves before heading off over an arduous mountain pass to the nearest ceili. Craic doesn’t appear in standard English dictionaries, but enter it as a search term on Google, and 42,500 listings come up. There’s obviously a lot of craic out there.
But RC needs to work on his French pronunciation. It's voo-WEE-ohz (or maybe VWEE-ohz), not VOOL-ee-oh. So grating to hear that, round after round, year after year.
OTOH, I would be nice if there was a breakdown of riders using the system and how many of them flatted in that section.

why did the commentator say "this is the 25 race, lets celebrate 1/4 of a century" ?
