Round 3 Prize
Leogang, Austria

The top team will go home with an ultra lightweight 100% Aircraft Helmet MIPS and a RockShox BoXXer Ultimate. More than 20 years ago, BoXXer changed the DH world when it hit the scene. Featuring the new Charger 2.1 damper for unrivaled control between the tape. New ultra-low friction SKF wiper seals and race proven Maxima Plush damping fluid all work overtime to reduce friction, noise, and provide lasting fork performance all the way to the finish corral. Learn more about the 100% Aircraft MIPS here and RockShox BoXXer Ultimate here.

*Color subject to change based upon availability

3-Day Blackout Period

In order to avoid players copying each other's teams, all rider selections will be hidden for 72 hours before each race. Start playing mind games with your friends that you know are shoulder-hopping your choices.

Unlimited Trades

You're allowed unlimited trades after each round. You can stick with what's working, or change your whole team out after every race.

Injury Icon

We've added an injury icon to show high profile athletes who are injured. This is not foolproof or exhaustive, so you'll still need to do your own research into your picks. If you know of riders who are injured, mention them in the comments and we’ll keep this updated.

Office Leagues

Employees at Pivot, Muc-Off and more are battling it out behind closed doors in their Office Leagues.

Offices can set up private leagues in addition to playing the main public league. Let the trash talk begin!

Good luck!

The Fantasy Downhill League is Presented by Trek and SRAM.

Possibility to trade is good, but rider's values should change based on latest results
  • + 3
Could not agree more! Come on Pinkbike! Get with the times of Fantasy Sports and change the riders values after each race!
  • + 6
Would that disqualify me if I'm lazy and don't update my team if my riders perform so well that suddenly they're out of my budget?
  • + 9
I think that should get you grandfathered-in so if you choose not to change your team it’s possible to go over budget. This would potentially reward those who chose a team and stuck with it @vinay:

Riders' values should stay the same throughout all the year IMO. Make it like fantasy football: 12 riders (just for the sake of saying a number) to pick at the beginning of the year, then each race you choose 6 to put on your list.
  • + 4
Changing the riders value after every race would be like players on a team renegotiating their salary every time they win or score!
  • + 1
@vinay: Well if you do good should your budget go up based on how well you do every race? Then you could potentially keep your good riders and create a super team over time and good results like a real team

I wouldn't expect a lot of Pinkbikers to be big Daily Fantasy Football players as well but that is essentially the closest example to these Pinkbike Fantasy Leagues. Riders values should change each race just like NFL players values change each week in DFS. NFL Players values change because of past performance, opposing team, home or away, etc.. WC racers values should change for the same reasons as past weeks performances, past performance at the current race course, injury staus etc... Would make it much more challenging to pick a high scoring team each week and reward the users for staying on top of their teams. This is probably way to over the top to ask of Pinkbike admins and Pinkbike users so for now the current setup is awesome and I got the winning team this week!

First prize should be a trip to Legoland.
  • + 4
 @oscartheballer you spelled Leogang wrong.
  • + 4
@mbeau79: Are you sure? There were a few had Batman in it.
  • + 1
@mbeau79: Check out this sic video from a few years back
  • + 2
@oscartheballer: This made me laugh out loud, well done sir for your tremendous wit!
  • + 4
To pick a top rider and a bunch of bums, or stack the team with mid packers? Decisions, decisions.

That boxxer is going to look sick on my Sick

(The boxxer I won't win on the Sick I obviously didn't buy)
  • + 18
You could have bought a Sick, doesn't mean you have a Sick. You're more likely to just win that Boxxer.
  • + 3
Going to install this boxxer on my 2004 mongoose hoop d
  • + 2
Counting on Maes and Suarez for that new Boxxer. Pressure cooker is on boys!
  • + 4
Tahnee and Myriam Nicole are also good picks!
  • + 1
After some fairly pointless spreadsheeting, I think the maximum possible points were 855 for Maribor, 915 for Fort William, and the best combined results were 775 and 815.
  • + 3
Shouldn't the teams be blacked out now?
  • + 3
That boxxer is gonna be sick on my Top Fuel #lookslikeasession
  • + 2
I could use a new helmet...
  • + 11
That's what happens when you polish the one that you've got too vigorously.
  • + 2
yeah me too, i don´t dare to ride with mine anymore... it has a slightliy big crack lol
  • + 1
@hilli337: keep an eye on it lol
  • + 3
@Dropthedebt: Watch out sometimes something shoots out of the crack.
Could get you in the eye.
  • + 2
I'll ride that boxxer to the promised land
  • + 1
 Into the Valley hole.

They make it sound like the 3 day black out is a big deal. Uhm there's this thing called timed practice...
  • + 3
And? Blackout is on your league players teams. Nothing to do with timed training.
