Jay Trautman and Slippery Stone Productions teamed up to bring us something a little different with this, their latest edit and with both parties being huge Hunter S. Thompson fans and with a desert trip on the agenda, it didn't take much to get the creative juices flowing... We set out on our journey, deep into the Gunnison National Forest of Colorado, in search of epic desert terrain and what we found there, was exactly what we hoped for: Hartman Rocks.
It was a perfect location for some Gonzo-style journalism to unfold and the trails and scenery did not disappoint. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it, and always remember.... “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” - Hunter S. Thompson
A pre-ride stretch is always necessary here in the desert.
Hartman Rocks in all it's glory.
Hunter S. Thompson is no stranger to two wheels.
Weaving through the many clumps of sage and rock.

Who knew?
yes it woulda been cool to film this in bootleg, but this was done by two dudes riding local trails when they weren't busy working 8-5s. Not everyone has the means to travel across two states and 600+ miles each way to make an edit. They were inspired by Hunter S. and the landscape in Hartman Rocks specifically, IMO it works perfectly.
