When you think California, hot and sunny comes to mind to most. However, this isn't always true. Despite this, riders such as Ben Zdasiuk take this opportunity to go fast and loose in the Bay Area loam.

The fog was so dense when Ben was chilling out.

The weather this past weekend was sick in the coastal areas of the bay! Super foggy, lots of moisture in the air, and relatively cool. Those cloudy mornings and days can really make a big difference out here. So stoked to see this video.

Yup. If I stay in CA, I’m moving back up north.

Problem is we have very little bike legal single track north of the Golden Gate within the bay. Tons of single track, but we have haters galore stopping progress on all equal access opportunities. Its really sad. If all the folks who rode these trails would stand up and defend them (especially in Marin County, the birthplace of MTB) we would have much more pull. But the problem is people sit on their asses and don't get to the land manager meetings to speak on access. We get out represented and in the end there are more trails closed or destroyed each year than opened. This video displays what we could have all over the bay, but certainly not a snap shot of what we do have. I guess the take away is we need people who ride to stand up for access, without backing from the riding population you're dreams of riding nor cal/bay area loam is disappearing by the day....
