PRESS RELEASE: FezzariThe Fezzari Delano Peak is the newest edition to the Fezzari family of suspension bikes. Featuring 135mm rear and 150mm front travel, a full carbon fiber frame construction, and 29 inch wheels, the Delano Peak is Fezzari's mid- travel carbon trail bike meant for all day adventures and the afterwork ride with the perfect blend of uphill legs and downhill domination. This is Fezzari's first entry into the mid travel carbon trail segment, but they are building of fantastic momentum created by their shorter travel Signal Peak as well as the longer travel La Sal Peak Enduro Bike. While the Delano Peak shares some characteristics of its shorter and longer travel siblings, it is distinctly its own.

-65 degree headtube angle with short offset fork
-77.5 degree effective seat tube angle
-434 mm Chainstay
-Holds 2 standard water bottles inside front triangle

-Threaded bottom bracket
-CleanCast Carbon layup - reduced weight and improved strength
SuspensionDesigned to offer a playful and lively feel both on descents and climbs the 135mm Tetralink suspension will have you feeling fresh at the top of the climb and grinning and the bottom. The progressive leverage ratio eats up small bump chatter, offers supportive mid-stroke to pump off rollers, and then a pillow soft landing at the end of the travel. The pedal platform ensures your pedal efforts are put into moving you forward instead of being mopped up by unnecessary suspension movement.
GeometryThe Delano Peak was designed to be playful, efficient, and fun. The 65-degree headtube angle help the bike feel planted, stable, and confidence inspiring over rough terrain. Short 434 mm chainstays keep the Delano nimble and agile in tight switchbacks, and sending it to the sidehill on hits along the trail. The steep 77.5 degree seat tube angle, combined with the efficient pedaling platform offer the rider a comfortable pedaling position to make like work of the longest and steepest climbs.
DevelopmentTaking cues and notes from the La Sal Peak Enduro Bike as well as the Signal Peak ‘Fun-Country’ bike, Fezzari set out to make a trail bike that excels in all types of riding, while not overlooking any of the small details like cable management, bottle cage compatibility, 29x2.6 tires size compatibility, ISCG-05 mounts for chain guides, short seat tube for longer dropper posts, and flush-mount fit and finish on bolts and bearings.
The frame tubing design and shock placement have been optimized for a low stand over height for all rider sizes, giving more room to move the bike around on the trail. The frame has been optimized for 2 water bottles, a 300mm dropper insertion even on a size small. This means 200mm travel droppers will be the norm for a lot of riders.
Once the suspension design, geometry, and finishing details are brought together on paper, a few alloy test mules were welded up and tested. Fezzari ended up making several changes from the original test rigs, adjusting reach, stack and headtube angles to arrive and the now available geometry. A 3D-printed prototype frame was made to ensure everything will work in the real world with the full list of components that would adorn the frame.
