Cool to see the Gehring Twins up there again! Followed the race, looked like a life time experience, sad that it was the last one :-(

@yakimonti: and worth every penny. Trans-Provence 2016 was amazing. Ash and the crew run a great event.

@yakimonti: considering the amazing and heavy logistics which also incluses shuttling you from the airport to the start (some 200km maybe?) it’s actually very competitive vs other equivalent race event that aren’t point to point.
I could enter Trans-Provence 2011 , and tried to get another spot pretty much since then. Didn’t work for me, but damn that was good. Worth all the money.

@yakimonti: Yeah, but you get a chopping board if you win.

@yakimonti: and from my experience, priceless. Not many things in life live up to the hype - but SKR can’t be quantified. A true passion event not a commercial operation.

what an enriching, perfectly organized event it has been! given the massive workload for logistics involved in getting the train rolling from camp to camp everyday with not ideal weather through mid of the race I had such a good time with all the international participants discovering wild old forgotten trails that were rebuilt especially for this event.
unfortunately covid spread during the race which forced a few to drop out or continue riding with the virus kicking in. I suffered from covid on day 5 and 6 but somehow made it to the finish until my body collapsed on the day after Big Grin

I want to thank the whole team for making SKR possible, the local communities we met and all the riders for the good times!

Shame it's the last. Does anyone know if the organisers have something else in the pipeline?

Doing the multi-day enduro circuit as your job must be rad. Less pressure than EDR and way more riding!
