Congrats to the winner. The fantasy system for Crankworx needs to be better imo. You should be able to pick your roster for each event individually. With time zones effecting when you can change your roster before an event I think its a little unfair to the side of the world who is sleeping when rosters unlock.

Agreed. I tried changing roster from DH to Slopestyle with at least 15 minutes before start 6:15 PST and discovered roster was locked when I tried to update team. Oh well, I wasn’t going to win anyways.

And this is also probably why there's a small fraction of the participants in the crankworx league compared to DH, XC, or enduro. A goofy system makes people not want to play. Myself included.

The time zone thing is big for the events that have seeding and publish top 16 riders just before the race if that race is at 1am (Dual Speed) or 4am (Pump Track) local time - my worst score was for dual speed where I selected my Team off the initial start list before I went to sleep with the alarm set for 3.45 am to swap the Team in time for Pump Track.

I still had fun playing and to give Pinkbike their due - the stuff most of us are raising is out of their control ... time zones, riders registered but not riding, the technology etc.

From a second place on Friday to a 26th place today. Shit. FeelsBadMan. Still fun to paticipate in! Big Grin .

Congrats @seamanstephens21

Wow, didn't think I had a chance of winning this after I picked Charlie Harrison and he pulled out. Took a gamble on Nicolai not completing a run and got super lucky! So stoked! Who do I contact to claim my prize?!

Big congrats to @seamanstephens21 enjoy the crap out of that trip!!!
I was 93 points behind, but at the DH my only male racer was Charlie H, whom I swapped for Brook haha, guess I’ll get it next time
  • + 3
My first reaction was to be pissed off when Charlie Harrison didn't ride - but I guessed that most people who knew anything about downhill would also have selected him - I checked the downhill Teams for the first 3 places and they all had Charlie in them.

15 points away from a free whistler trip! :/ even had Paul courses on my team and swapped him for Alex Alenko last minute. *sigh*

Same, this morning I swapped Dean Lucas with Charlie Harrison... Well I guess I'll regret that decision for the rest of my life hahaha

 yeah 7 fucking points

Pffft, amateurs, I had Rheeder, Lemoine and co. racing DH, scored a grand total of ZERO points Big Grin

Good thing it's just a game!

@Milko3D: not anymore when ur 7 points away from your dream
  • + 4
@jonaslp1: Dream? I personally would have been more excited about the fork and some fresh rubber than a week at Whistler during Joyride.

But yeah, we're all different and I can see how coming up short can be frustrating.
  • + 2
@Milko3D: don't feel bad. At the beginning of the fantasy I thought it was just one team for overall lol. So I had ended up in almost 400th place at the end lol
  • + 1
@seismicninja: Oh, not at all, I just find it amusing more than anything.
  • + 2
@Longroadtonowhere @crashtor @jonaslp1 It could be worse, for Fantasy Crankworx Rotorua I finished second and @brianpark offered me a 'second place prize' (since I finished so close). The prize never made it home; it probably went missing in the post.

I see lots of complaints here, but this weekend was so much fun. Finished 42nd in the rankings. It might be easier for us to prepare teams for each event separately, but I say, good job PB. This made me watch whole crankworx and learn much more about event & riders than any article.
  • + 2
Glad it went to someone on another continent this time Big Grin lol at all the complaining
  • + 2
Congrats! Yeah it would be nice to have separate roasters for disciplines at crankworx
  • + 1
I've been analysing and watching lives all week along instead of writing my bachelor diploma project. No regrets, 6th for me, very close to the dream of my life.

 Congratulations @seamanstephens21

@seamanstephens21 Congrats dude! If all of your buddies are busy, hit me up for that trip Big Grin

  • + 1
@ThomsonMTB: woow rly nice, but this man who won fantasy crankworx in last round (slope) had 320
