Live Updates

Elite Women

6:30 am PDT We have already seen a number of the Elite Women take on the Crankworx course with the current top five being:

2nd. Vinny Armstrong: +3.117
3rd. Kyleigh Stewart: +11.655
4th. Georgia Astle: +11.829
5th. Cassie Voysey: +12.009

6:44 am PDT Rachel Pageau is the first rider down on the live stream and goes across the line in third so far.

6:48 am PDT A big crash for Ellie Smith as she was on a great run. Luckily she is quickly up and finishing her run.

6:55 am PDT Disaster for Jenna Hastings as she was up but a small mistake seems to have ended her run, she goes 11 seconds back.

6:57 am PDT Mikayla Parton has a smooth run to go into second place, 2.1 off the top time.

6:59 am PDT Anna Newkirk goes fastest by 3.130 seconds with four riders left.

7:02 am PDT Siel Van Der Velden slots into second place and will be definitely inside the top five with three riders to go.

7:04 am PDT Phoebe Gale is racing in Elites this weekend but she hit a tree and goes into fourth place.

7:07 am PDT Vali Höll has a flat out run to go 8.6 seconds up and into the lead.

7:09 am PDT Fastest qualifier Tracey Hannah can't match Vali Höll and finishes in second place,

Elite Men

7:21 am PDT The Elite Men are now on course with George Brannigan currently leading.

7:24 am PDT At the moment the top five looks like this:

1st. George Brannigan: 2:44.849
2nd. Dylan Maples: +1.909
3rd. Ben Cathro: +2.104
4th. Gaetan Vige: +2.131
5th. Harry Molloy: +3.083

7:26 am PDT Mick Hannah goes fastest by over two seconds!

7:29 am PDT Mark Wallace goes three seconds back and into third.

7:34 am PDT Jakob Jewett comes across the line in third, 2.727 back.

7:36 am PDT Dean Lucas looked like he was about to take the lead but he slides out in the dusty last corner.

7:41 am PDT Ronan Dunne has an amazing run after a big crash yesterday and ends his ride in second, 1.336 off Mick's time.

7:57 am PDT Kye A'Hern goes less than a second back. Mick's time is looking more beatable as we get into the final riders.

8:09 am PDT Andreas Kolb was around two seconds up but goes off the trail and struggled to get back on course. We have three riders left, can anyone beat Mick?

8:13 am PDT Sam Blenkinsop comes so close to the top time but he goes 0.052 back at the finish line.

8:16 am PDT Charlie Hatton takes the lead by over three seconds with one rider remaining.

Both Hannahs seem to be doing alright. Must be harsh for these young wc riders to get beaten by these pensioners...

One of the being on an enduro bike...

Was glad to see them nuking it - Jackson being the main whippersnapper contender and he would've placed 6th in elite mens comparatively - just barely behind Mick. Plenty of pensioners did finish later tho but hey, experience can matter in many situations. Tracy's run was stunning - is she even training at all??? Anyway - Jackson's (and Jordan's) times are off the hook but I can't help wondering that when the do actually compete w/ the elites, the mind games will get to them.

I guess the commentators didn't know that Anna Newkirk lived in Switzerland since years and therefore made complete sense that she was doing more european races tah american ones...

On the coverage she was speaking fluent French to another rider at the finish line, which was a pretty good clue...

@edspratt: Was she on for times? or off? I did not see Live.
  • 3 0
@stiksandstones: She didn't make the live feed after a puncture in qualifying and went down before most of the top riders so I don't think we know how her run was looking.
  • 3 0
@stiksandstones: commentators mentioned she did a 3:05 before dq. Would have placed her third
