First Look: Random VIII Photo Annual
Random number 8 has arrived... the gravity MTB photo annual that prides itself on a strict policy of '100% bike porn, since 2007'
212 pages of high grade 135g LumiArt paper.
The annual is bound in 300g Blackcoal pulp.
Over the years Random has come in a wide array of shapes and sizes. This year we are treated to the 'Black Box Edition' a spiral bound, 303mm x 216mm landscape format ready to do some top-draw mountain bike photography justice.
Issue number 8 includes downhill, freeride and all-mountain photography from the likes of Hoshi Yoshida, Bartek Wolinkski, John Wellburn, Dennis Stratmann, Jens Staudt, David Schultheiss, Sebastian Schieck, Sven Martin, Jan Kasl, Nathan Hughes, Markus Greber, Paris Gore, Ale Di Lullo, Stef Cande and Carlos Blanchard.
Created by German rider and photographer, Dennis Stratmann, the Random VIII Black Box Edition is priced at 25 euros.

 | With the recent death of one of the world's greatest bicycle print publications, there seems no better time to help save the one-horned rhino and purchase yourself a beautiful coffee table piece like Random. Within its stealthy black confines, you can expect to find a mix of riding that caters to all gravity tastes and it's combined with photographer anecdotes and EXIF data guaranteed to inspire a fresh interest in your dusty SLR or Instagram account. For us lovers of the extreme end of the bicycle spectrum and photographers of the aforementioned, Random certainly lives up to it's promise of being entirely NSFW. Packed with gratuitous helpings of big juicy bikes, bouncing up and down in exotic locations it's nigh on impossible to avoid getting a serious stoke-on just a few pages in. As a contributor myself I would never claim to be at all impartial as to the quality of Random, but rest assured all content is volunteered, unpaid, for the love of the mountains and this great sport.
