Not sure if they have an international distribution channel setup for their bikes. I hardly see any here in Southern California. I have seen them at Fontana of course and as rentals at the mountains. Maybe they don't the capital or see the marketing benefit of the expense to get a couple top 40s at a World Cup.

I just finished building a DJ50, the bike handles well and the frame seems sturdy (I use it for DH and XC training), they should try world cup level again if their DH bikes are as good as their DJ bikes.
It is probably the comfort zone of competing in the States, like Brian Lopes, they probably prefer being the top racers in the States than just average World Cup racers.

I recently got back into moto and found that Fly is the best bang for the buck for everything from helmets to pants. Goggles are great and so are their shirts. Only thing I bought that wasnt fly was a pair of Moose Racing boots.

I used to have their upper body armor, costed nothing compared to others and offered quite a lot of protection. It's just that I think it made me swear to never ever wear body armor again

The armor I wear for moto under all my Fly gear is the super bulky 661 from a few years back. It protects like football padding, but it really cant be used for DH on hot days. Way too bulky. But you sure feel safe(r) in it. I remeber a clip of Wade Simmons saying "armor gives people a false sense of security". I agree with him, but maybe its human nature to welcome a false sense of security over none at all!

I got excited when I saw a vet rider there, but he is the manager too. I wonder if fly will support DH riders the same way they do supercross riders, just about every privateer is on Fly gear.

Usual situation of some pointless American 'Team' that's scared to raced World Cups cause they'll all get smoked by 18 year old Euros that nobody has heard of but are fast as fuck. Stick to Fontana boys.

Why shouldn't Gwin feel differently? He is an unbelievable rider that just smoked everyone at his last World Cup. There is far too many US racers that think that because they do well or even are champions in the US then it makes them something on the world stage. There is also plenty of very fast riders from the US, Luca Shaw seemed to be pretty well at the last race and Eliot Jackson is flying right now, but overall US racers are completely overhyped just because they get a few results in the US. There is so many European racers that get little to no coverage that achieve top 30 and even top 20 WC results at every round, an example of this at the last race is French rider Rudy Caribou who was top 15 I think? Full privateer rider. Team Robot has gone into this topic on numerous occasions on his blog and argues his point well.
