This weekend the FMB World Tour travels to the mountain biking haven that is Les 2 Alpes (FRA), for the first FMB Diamond Series competition. The FMB Diamond Series is a new high class series within the FMB World Tour, from which the one and only Champion will emerge. With five FMB Diamond Series stops on the 2014 calendar – every result will count towards the overall standings, so there is everything to ride for!

Once again the French slopestyle pro, Yannick Granieri took on the task of designing the course. Fit to challenge the worlds’ best, expect a flowy ride with gnarly kickers and a brand new feature – an open loop! The action and excitement is unprecedented, but we got you covered! You can tune in live for the finals on Saturday July 5th on Redbull.com/bike, fmbworldtour.com and Pinkbike.com. Check out the global viewing times below and make sure you don’t miss out.

With the biggest names on the FMB World Tour all gathering in Les 2 Alpes, the battle for the first FMB Diamond Series points will be fierce. Brandon Semenuk will be there to defend his consecutive title after reigning victorious in 2012 and 2013, but will he be able to fight of the rest of the field to make it a triple?

Crankworx Les 2 Alpes rider Line-up

Rider line up for Crankworx Les 2 Alpes FMB Diamond Series July 5th 2014

A real contender will be fellow Canadian, Brett Reeder who is returning to Les 2 Alpes after taking a hard crash in 2013 on this very course. Rheeder already competed at Vienna Air King in April and took the win, but will his bag of opposite tricks be enough for a podium at the first FMB Diamond Series event? Martin Soderstrom is also back behind bars and after a long road to recovery, his fans are eager to see if he can whip and spin his way on to the podium. Antoine Bizet amazed the biking world a few weeks ago at 26TRIX with his debut double backflip no-hander, will he drop it again in Les 2 Alpes in front of a home crowd to secure victory? Likewise, after the Gold event in Leogang, young gun Nicholi Rogatkin has qualified in amongst the worlds’ best. He seem to has the tricks and the guts to go big – huge in fact – but will it be enough to stay ahead of the more experienced athletes? As you can see – the horizon is lined with questions. One thing is certain: riders will have to ride like never before to step on to the FMB Diamond Series podium. So join us in Les 2 Alpes on Saturday July 5th.
