Mountain bikers frequenting Morzine in the mid 2000's will probably remember the 'Paradis' nightclub for all the wrong reasons. Known as 'the other nightclub' where many wouldn't dare venture, stories of awkward French DJ's, a one-hit wonder pop-star owner and a vicious guard dog known to take chunks out of clients. All of that has changed but the pink leopard print upholstery, strip poles and flashing dance floor remain in the underground Paradis club. The decrepit hotel and restaurant above has been fully renovated and is now run by Rude Chalets for winter and summer seasons. FOX head clothing have partnered with Rude Chalets on this side of the Atlantic and with Snow Summit in the US (more details on that soon). The idea behind these lodges is that their athletes have a base in key MTB centres for training. FOX associated dealers/ partners will also have access to the lodge which is also is fully open for the public, offering hotel and hostel style accommodation, great food, a stocked bar and a great vibe. You may also have the chance to chill out with some of your riding heroes.

bigquotes Yeah I had a great week, the chalet is great, the foods amazing and the beer was flowing. Felt like I was on holiday, even though we were here to 'work' haha. I'll definitely be coming back and dragging a few mates over, the BMX turned mountain bike crew. My first time in Morzine I loved it, I don't want to go home. The best thing for me is that the lodge is right in town and I was shocked after the first days riding when we could ride straight back, no messing around getting in vans, no downsides here! - Kye Forte

bigquotesFor Fox, this was the perfect opportunity to offer our riders a base to ride from, and the perfect way for us to work with the end consumer and show that we care about the scene in the key mountain bike resort in the Alps. On top of that we have somewhere to product test, all the staff in the Rude Lodge are keen riders themselves, they can see if the kit will stand up to a full season of abuse and give us feedback. But most importantly it's for Fox to get more involved in the scene in Morzine and the Alps. - John Oldale - Fox Athlete Manager

bigquotesYeah man the Rude Chalet, I think they really have the vibe for mountain biking, Ithink it will become a great meeting point. The bar is awesome, good to chill out with good music and good beers. Morzine is one of the best riding areas in the Alps, and it's great for the customers that there will be Fox riders staying here that they can talk to. There's everything you need here for a great biking holiday! - Iago Garay

The bar and cafe are open everyday for breakfast and dinner. The Paradis Nightclub is open 3/4 days a week from 11:00pm until late. There is dormitory and twin room accommodation totalling 36 beds. Ex - Commencal/Andorra Team world cup mechanic Loïc Delteil is the full time on site bike mechanic for any repairs of bike servicing.

I was in Morzine for 2 weeks last summer. Best trip of my life, and I even proposed to my girl with the epic backdrop of the Alps, legendary. Besides, this way she will always love Morzine so we can come back!!!!!!

First it was Specialized going back to what thay know best, with the new Demo, that might as well be a mk6 BigHit. Now Commencal are going back to the glory days of their Sunn Radical, with this, what appears to be a corker of a bike. The moral of the story is, if it aint broke, don't fix it. I mean the winningest DH bike of them all, the Santa Cruz V10, as very much stayed with the same set up, only making the odd tweak here and their and making it more sleeker and meaner over the years, though staying very similar in appearance over the years of it's life. I'm 39 years old so I love this shit. BigHit's and Radical's were killing it in my day, today the overall belongs to Arron Gwin, which he won on a bike that looks closer to a BigHit than it does a Demo. Now we have the Commencal "Radical" Supreme. Should be a very fast, competent bike, with the right pilot.

Owners have decided to retire, though i think it may be under new ownership (at some point) and changing from what it was

"OK Guys so we've just received a message that the Robinson's will only be closing for a month and will be resuming normal business as usual after the interseason! So no major changes, no change of hands, just business as normal!"

No stress guys!

Thanks for the replies lads - was seriously concerned Morzine was going to lose one of it's most iconic post-ride watering holes. Nothing quite like 'trying' to ride back to your chalet after 3+ pints of the good stuff... highlight!

Is the bike storage in the same place as the ski for winter? Down those steps? Great video Morzine looking sick!

I don't really see the benefit of this business partnership. Resort gets money and Fox gets to put up posters and their employees stay there for free?
