Press Release: Fun Ride 30 Park
Fred Austruy, a French Pro Mountain Bike Rider, has lived in the Gard region for 2 years. Without losing any time, he has worked on this ambitious park project that opened in May this year. After 8 months of intensive work, Fun Ride 30 Park was born and welcomed by riders and outdoor sports lovers! Nevertheless, Fred Austruy still has many ideas to upgrade his structure and have it become one of the best in France.
After over 2 years of looking for the ideal land, in September 2020 Fred Austry chose the village of Langlade to design his park, between Nîmes and Montpellier, 30 minutes away from the Mediterranean sea. Perfectly located between vineyards on the one side, and olive trees on the other, Fun Ride 30 benefits from perfect accessibility via the D40 road -without even mentioning the 21-kilometer cycling path that links Caveirac to Sommière.
But let's go back to the beginning of this intense adventure that sounds excessive for one single man... True enough, when people come to the park for the first time, seeing the scale of the works they often say with a smile. "But are you really alone? Surely you have associates!" I answer yes, I am alone but my friends do give me a hand from time to time, happily enough! However, when I look at what we have accomplished within 8 months, it is just awesome and incredible! I say we because even if I am the single investor and responsible person for this huge project, I do have regular support. Physically it is hard, and it would probably be impossible without friendship.
With a limited budget from the very beginning, I have had to manage alone just about everything, which obviously requires more time and energy. I do realise now that this project is huge: there are so many things to think about, to organise... Achieving this project fully depends on me being passionate and hard-working!
My reward: seeing people's motivation and pleasure; riders who are like happy children, riders who progress, riders who implement their first Tricks thanks to my ideas... That's when I realise how great this project is, despite the workload!
Moreover, without any pretension, I think it is key that Fun Ride 30 was created by a slight perfectionist pure rider who wishes to offer premium modules to his clients.
I am basically a rider, so very much aware that young people should not be disappointed with the park after having driven many kilometers to discover it. I want them to be happy when they ride! My commitment is to offer the best.Upcoming projects:
End of September 2021 I will open a riding school called « Fun Ride Academy », based on 2 poles:
Pole 1: Mountain Bike & Freestyle BMX
Pole 2: Enduro Montain Bike / Bike Park
I will also enlarge the bike park (+ 2,000 m2) in order to design a new Dirt track and a Trial mountain bike area. Altogether, the park will offer 10,000 m2 of professional playground!
A few other challenges will also need to be taken up, surely easier and with future partners who will want to invest in the association.
And logically, I would like to end by thanking our current partners: La Ferme du Cantal, Vins Chez Nous, Toobo lavage, Toobo pare brise Lunel, Starblock Visserie, RST Suspension, Kenny Racing, KMC Chain, Continental, Europe Negoce, Zéfal.
