The team made the trip for the first French SPRINT downhill cup in Lyon, where was previously organised the avalanche cup. The track was modified this year by Antony Rocci, a famous french dirter. He made sweet modifications to make the track faster and added some jumps to make it funnier to ride. The weekend started with pouring rain for the qualification round.
It went really well for the riders with a 2nd place for Benoit Coulanges behind Rudy Cabirou, the French wildcard of the beggining of 2015 season who finished 10th at the first world cup in Lourdes. Maxime took the 3rd place despite still being Junior and was faster than a lot of French top guns (and was with this result 1st junior). Linda took 2nd place in the Junior women category behind Marine Cabirou who won the first world cup in Lourdes.
For the final, the sun made its come back on Sunday, and the track became faster and faster, making the 8m triple at the top of the track way too short for the fastest riders. Benoit came close to crashing (see below in picture) but Maxime didn't get as much chance and had a massive crash, but luckily he walked away with only some bruises. Benoit ended up second, but this time was only beaten by Quentin Derbier, the french 4x specialist on a track that suited his style. It's the first time that Benoit takes 2nd place on a French downhill cup, its best result yet was 3rd at the last round of the French DH cup in 2014 in Oz-en Oisans. Linda took 2nd place again in Junior Women in the final, and 5th place amongst Women.
Maxime Ciriego was 1st junior and 3rd amongst the men after qualifications but had a massive crash in final.
