 Everyone on the East Coast would appreciate it if you could post the Friday Fails video at 7 am Eastern Standard Time. I am highly unproductive until I see the Friday Fails and none of us can start our Friday until watching Friday Fails on repeat 5 times. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.

 Kids crash = buddies laughing and all's well
Middle age men crash = serious situation

 I started riding casually at around the age the kid at 2:36 is, looks to be 14, wasn’t until 17/18 until I started taking it a bit more seriously and focusing on time down the mountain rather than just messing around and riding Uber casually, but at age 14 to age 18 you just kinda bounce when you have a big off. Much more flexible and bones are made out of rubber and magic.

Also, the two crashes at 2:20 (bike in the back) and 2:26 (getting highsided and boosting out of the berm) were brutal!

 I love a good foliage crash. Bushes, ferns, grass, they're all entertaining and usually more of a laugh for all parties. Trees, not so much fun.

 2:25, I give her props for trying. But that section of no joke is no joke. Then to follow up with the carnage at 2:30, that was the most brutal 10 seconds of my day.

 You beat me to it. Those two clips, first with the guy hitting a gap and then almost landing on his buddy's back, and then the young lady almost dying on a slab, came perilous close to being included in the "Friday Fails - C5 fracture edition" edit.

 I always wonder if someone at Pinkbike needs to edit lots of these videos to crop out the bit where riders are screaming in pain, or if those bits get edited out before submission! It's not a job I would enjoy!

 What propelled the guy at 2:32 to fly off the bike like that after his hard landing from the drop? I can't imagine suspension rebound would kick you back hard enough to yield that much airtime. I don't see another trail feature...very perplexed.

 It's the newest in safety gear, the "Spenco Asspring" ejection system built into the custom seat. It's designed to eject the rider away from imminent harm. Many bugs to be worked out and I hope to see PB do a full review of this system soon.

 I think he blew his foot when landing and went square into a berm which then acted as a kicker. Like worst case scenario right there, he checked that tree hard.

 While I wait for Ben Cathro's tutorial on jumping (and after watching other "how to jump" videos), any quick diagnoses of the failed effort starting at 0:32? I ask about that one because the speed seemed OK, but he ended up with the classic dead sailor's outcome.

My guess is the rider did not compress/pop properly/at the right time when taking off and/or did not pull the handlebars toward him upon leaving the jump to allow for then pushing the handlebars away to level off the landing.

But those are thoughts from someone who is still learning to jump. What say those truly in the know?

 That guy 'Passengered' it. In the air it's crucial to take control of the flight and not wait for the ride to end. A simple turn of the bars, a lean, a baby whip; anything to tell the horse - I mean bike - that you have the reigns. If you're along for the ride chances are you're gonna dead sailor.

 I'm still learning too, so take one or many grains of salt with this, but the rider seems to be in the "back seat" when coming off the lip. I heard in at least one video that you should be standing more or less perpendicular to the ground as you leave the lip of the jump, not crouched down near the back wheel--I wish I could remember which video, but since hearing that, it seems to hold water as I pay more attention to people's posture in successful jumps. I think it might have been a Fluidride "Practice Like a Pro" video.

 I watched :43 a few times to determine the cause of crashing. It's a small case and he bottoms out the suspension, but I think the tire pressure is too low. Check out the front on landing.

It's a jump that looks like he could have held on.

Edit: 1:20 was brutal, that looked concussive. Blank Stare

Bruised kidneys and some internal bleeding, I was filming a video edit. I actually dusted myself off, saw my bike was cracked and finished the rest of the video. I was pissing funky blood/urine for a while after. Definitely my biggest crash and hope I never go through that again!

 1;20 is super bad because of how steep that trail is right there, and also becuase that in no way the line through there! lol. that was actually a good outcome once she commited to that shitty, shitty line.

 Aww c'mon that looked like they just blew a foot off pedalling in, or maybe snapped a chain. It happens. I reserve judgement until I see them horrendously case or dead sailor onto their collarbone. Then we can all agree they should have listened to you.
