PRESS RELEASE: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

For those familiar with the Tetons, it’s no secret that its hills boast exhilarating bike trails for riders of all skill levels. At Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR), there are seemingly endless opportunities for mountain bikers to tear down miles of winding trails that flow, roll, bump and jump through pine forest, wildflower fields and craggy hills. And all the while you can soak in exhilarating, sweeping views of mountains and the valley below.

The downhill adventure can begin without a climb. In just five minutes, the Sweetwater Gondola and Teewinot Chairlift whisk riders to the top of 14 different downhill trails. From the beginner-friendly Sweet Timothy to intermediate freerides to expert-level trails like Deer Jump, JHMR’s bike trails give riders a chance to rip through berms over 30 feet wide and sail across tabletop jumps.

Bikers come from all over to accelerate down the high-speed flows of Deepest Darkness, zigzag through interlacing line options or cruise down lush fields of wildflowers on Lucky Charm. Mountain bike masters can even get a challenge on Dirty Harry, a World Cup-level downhill course that carves a steep and perilous way down Jackson Face.

For competitive bikers, JHMR’s weekly Sunday Funday event gives entrants a chance to win prizes and bragging rights. Using simple app-based tracking, riders can record their downhill vertical feet and laps, which are automatically placed on a live leaderboard. Two winners, one male and one female, will score gear and perks like sunglasses, sightseeing and bike vouchers, and ski rentals.

But Sunday couldn’t be called Funday if there wasn’t also a reward: After the rush of being part of or even watching the competition, everyone can enjoy a relaxing evening with catered signature cocktails and live music from JHMR’s Concerts on the Commons, which features a sampling of talent from across the country.

From the beginners to the experts and the competitive, there’s something for every mountain biker at JHMR — and even for those who don’t have a bike at all. JH Sports offers a variety of professionally tuned bike rentals, including top-of-the-line options from Norco and SCOTT, as well as any amount of protective gear, including full body armor. Several of JHMR’s trails are also accessible with e-mountain bikes and adaptive mountain bikes.

Every rider can find an adventure that excites them at JHMR. Rigorously maintained and brand-new trails, accommodations for beginners and experts alike and treks through forest, fields and mountainsides await riders who are ready to explore the mountain bike scene in the Tetons.
