Fuji Bikes is proud to announce that Meggie Bichard will be racing aboard the new Fuji Auric for the 2016 enduro season. Bichard will be focusing on multi-day stage races, such as the Trans BC in Canada and Trans-Savoie in France, and select EWS events across the globe in 2016.

Bichard had a terrific 2015 season on the EWS, finishing 7th in the overall standings. She was named Pinkbike’s “Unofficial EWS Privateer of the Year.”

Meggie had a standout year in 2015 on the EWS without any support. We are excited to see what she can do with our support in 2016,” said Fuji Mountain Bike Marketing Manager Brian McKinney.

The start of the 2016 season is fast-approaching, and I am itching to get out there and test myself against the best with the fantastic support of the Fuji team and their new Auric enduro bike,” said Bichard. “I have found a great personal fit with the 'Fuji family' and fully expect to share some phenomenal experiences with them at enduro events around the world in 2016.

Meggie will be racing the new Fuji Auric with MLink™ suspension.

ABOUT MEGGIE BICHARD
I was born on Guernsey, Channel Islands and spent my first 13 years playing on the beaches and surfing. A move to Pembrokeshire, West Wales provided much bigger open spaces. Horse riding and rock climbing became my preferred method of getting adrenaline and exploring the countryside. When I left Pembrokeshire to study veterinary science at Bristol University I was introduced to cycling and quickly became hooked. Speed, risk, physicality and skill combine to create an addictive concoction. Since then I've been traveling the world with my bike in search of the perfect trail. Upon graduation I packed my bags and bikes and made my way to Nelson New Zealand. It sounded like it would be worth a look and that fact that I still call Nelson home six years later says it all. My passion for continual personal challenge led me to a full EWS season as a privateer in 2015 and gave me the chance to go up against the best. A solid string of results whet my appetite for more racing in 2016, and with the backing of Fuji Bikes, I now have the opportunity to maximize my potential with great equipment and people around me.
