Honestly, this package is pretty poor for an 'ultimate Crankworx experience'. Getting crammed in at the GLC is not great and you cant see much from there either, the experience is much better about half way up where you can see most of everything plus theres a couple of giant screens for the small amounts you cant see. l can go buy the t-shirt anyway and I already have a lift pass. The (optional) course walk, well you can walk up the side and watch the pro practice anyway plus they are super casual about talking to you if you engage them.

So in summation, the package is a waste of money. Whoever is responsible for putting this package together should be shot. VIP means VIP not this horse manure masquerading as a 'the ultimate package'.

What you should do is have access to a podium somewhere up the course, t-shirt, VIP pump track challenge, VIP Deep Summer and Dirt Diaries plus drinks and maybe food, lets be fair its deep fried finger food anyway so why not.

If you add it up, I can see where they are going with it. Park pass, $70, food and drink at glc and on hill zone, $50 each (2 drinks and appys) 30$ t shirt = $190

I wouldn't pay for it either but i'm sure quite a few out of the 10's of thousands of people that show up whistler would, just to say they did or not worry about the rat race and crowds when your trying to watch on course.

Its all about the Queen Elizabeth's baby! But honestly, half the fun of being at Crankworx was getting up on Saturday, crushing some good food, loading up the back packs and getting to the bottom of the slope course on the railing for the best seats in the house, only about 2 hours early for the event. @nyterider and I would battle with the lifties about "being in the way" until there were enough of us lined up on the railing that it didn't matter anymore, and then it was show time. Things sure have changed...
