by Giant Bicycles

It has become an annual tradition for the Enduro World Series: The season finishes on the white-sand beaches of Finale Ligure, Italy. But first, two days of steep, rocky and physically challenging terrain that ranks as one of the year’s toughest events. For the Giant Factory Off-Road Team, the journey to get here was filled with ups and downs. Some hard crashes and triumphant finishes. But in the end, the finals gave reason to celebrate. Australian Josh Carlson found his form to post a top-ten stage finish. Canadian Mckay Vezina was healthy and strong after some mid-season injuries. And Liv Cycling rider Rae Morrison finished off an impressive first season with the team, wrapping up her 10th place overall ranking for the year.

Dear Giant, bake yourself some humble pie and get busy with a 150mm 29er with a 76 degree sta. Threaded bottom bracket if you need any help just let me know.

I'd have already dropped the money on the 2018 Reign if they'd offered a proper SA. Goddammit.

@mrtoodles: A real shame, paticularly when looking at the reason they gave for that decision, namely that their test riders were supposedly getting too much ass to tire action. I'm looking at the 2018 Patrol for my big bike now, but it's pretty heavy and probably not nearly as reliable as a Giant.

@SiSandro: I'm half tempted by the Liv cos the SA is better but no one stocks them. The Patrol and the new Process are the other options but neither has the Giant warranty, weight and price.

I ride Giant's Trance and Reign along with a slack LT VPP 29er and both the Giants climb as good or better in tech and rip rustic rough terrain very well, so I can see why Giant is slow to the LT 29 table. Do a back to back and see for yourself.

If I can put together a couple angles and millimetres with my heathen mind, Imagine what the giants of the industry could design - put paper to pen, buck trends and tell you're paint shop to come again. Goofy paint schemes are 2010.

I’d like to see them ride a Trance with 160mm front and rear! Wonder how that’ll work out!
