No one needs to tell you to wear a helmet I hope. But you may need to be told to wear one that look's rad! Giro has some killer new colors and designs for their Remedys, Carbon Remedys, and the Flak DJ lid. Check them out!
HD Videos inside!Giro had an utterly massive helmet display going on at Interbike, they really do cover the entire range, from kiddie lids to road helmets that look to be more air than helmet. The Remedy, Remedy CF, and the Flak DJ lid are what we're here to see though. With so many helmets to choose from where does one start? Obviously with the Zombies!
Watch the video and see Giro's new Remedy and Remedy CF:
Giro Remedy
The Matte Titanium Zombie is a big departure from the usual swirls and safe colors and looks rad. The zombie's arm is actually painted down the length of the visor, which if you bust off has a bloody stump of an arm under neath on the helmet shell.
Zombie blood
Carbon is an amazing material and Giro puts it to good use on their '09 Remedy CF's. Not only can they build a lighter helmet, more importantly it enables them to make a helmet that can better absorb and disperse energy from impacts. So it's lighter, it's safer, and you have got to admit that they sure look sharp!
Bare carbon is always an easy pick. This is the Carbon/Titanium model
Slotting in nicely with the zombie theme is another dark helmet, the Titanium Raven done in carbon fiber.

The Flak has some new colors for 2009, including a few pro models and some clever paint jobs by local artists.
You know you're big time when you get a pro model of your own. The Paul B. version is nice and understated in mostly matte white with some color dropped on the side for good measure. I felt "big time" just putting this lid on.
The Lance McDermott lid was my personal favorite by default due to the lightning bolts
For some interesting stat's and more pictures of the Remedy check out a feature we did a short time ago on the new '09 Giro Helmets.

I like to see some naked women on the helmets instead. Unbelievable, cost more than real Moto X helmets which provides tougher protection although is a little heavier but I am already used to it since I pump iron in the gym with my neck.
I've had my carbon Remedy for a while and it's stellar. Light and comfy. Got a bad neck (from a car accident many years ago), so the light weight is greatly appreciated.
