@sherbet: apparently they took off his helmet and gave him his hat too

I wonder how humans react when they look down and their leg is crooked?
  • 4 1
@jesses-g: jump off a three story balcony, land on your feet with your knees locked, and then look at your legs. There's your answer.
  • 5 0
@jesses-g: mine was; ah f*ck what am I going to tell my boss (had a work trip on Monday, it was Sunday)
  • 2 0
@jesses-g: I was pretty surprised to see my leg bending in the middle of my shin! Bent is a few times out of pure shock what I was seeing
  • 1 0
His leg is bent IN jeans!
  • 2 0
@jesses-g: Howzabout when they look down and their foot is dangling in the opposite direction? I can tell ya, it's literally a bit of a shock.
  • 2 0
@imnotdanny: I read that and instantly felt an “oh f*ck” sensation in my knees and nearly puked
  • 2 0
@imnotdanny: why did you have to give me that vision?
  • 3 0
@jesses-g: i had a tibia platue fracture from dirt jumping and my leg was crooked and crazy shit to see the lower part of your dislocated. I wouldnt wish that on anyone but the recovery is what really sucks and can take years. But for all the years riding it has been worth it and have gotten back on the bike again.

@jesses-g: It doesn't hurt that much really, especially not then and there.
As long as it's not a joint that went it's really no big deal.
  • 1 0
@Losvar: at first you are in shock, you cant feel the pain. Your own body's drugs are strong..but then it hurts like hell..my personal experience
  • 1 0
@lenniDK: oufff....that sounds awful. I am fortunate enough to have never broken a bone.
  • 1 0
looks like his wearing shins too... waking up to an oppo bent shin guard brings a new rush
  • 1 0
@sherbet: same as when he drops in rampage, shaking to know how huge he goes but can tell hes too stoked to stop himself
  • 2 0
@lenniDK: I had 10+ fractures in my leg, had to get down on my own, only part that really really hurt was when I got morphine, that was awful.
I'm one of the lucky 0.01% that have an opposite reaction to morphine, yay me.
It actually hurt more when I went riding the day I took the cast off and crashed on the same leg.
Broken several bones in my hands and ribs without realizing it, might just have a different pain tolerance.
Tearing my shoulder ligaments was far worse than any bone I've broken.
  • 1 0
@Losvar: opposite reaction to morphine? Like it increases pain rather than decreases it?
  • 2 0
 @imnotdanny: Yeah, really fun stuff.
Got 3 or 4 doses of morphine before it was diagnosed, that gave me a whole new perspective on pain.
  • 1 0
@Losvar: oh damn, that sounds awful. Sorry you had to go through that.

Aggy Aggy Aggy. Ouch ouch ouch 3
  • 12 1
My expert ortho opinion says that's both a tib and a fib
  • 2 1
As an ortho I’d guess the same
  • 3 1
@duplex: as a regular guy in my ouch!!
  • 4 2
could have broke one and bent the other.
  • 1 1
@dinosaurmonkey: in adults, they usually both break, although what you're describing happens in children frequently
  • 1 1
@duplex: Happend to me in my mid 20s
  • 3 1
nah, he just added an extra knee to that leg. heal up quick, aggy!
  • 2 1
@duplex: As a dude who knows an ortho, I totally agree.
  • 2 1
As a guy who regularly takes care of peeps after these kinds of injuries I concur.....it's a pretty lousy injury to recover from if I'm honest....all the best to Aggy.
  • 4 1
 @fullendurbro:

Yeah, but do you concur?
  • 12 2
 swaggy aggy break his laggy
  • 10 1
Dudes having a hard time staying healthy. Rest up. Heal up.
  • 10 1
 1) Heal up quick.

2) When did Agassiz become homeless-chić?
  • 30 1
 like 2011
  • 15 3
It is a fashion, a way of life, inspired by the very homeless, the vagrants, the crack whores that make this wonderful sport so unique. And I want you, Aggy, to be the face, the image, nay, the spirit of Derelicte. It'll be your glorious comeback!
  • 3 1
I believe the proper term is Shabby Elegance
  • 5 1
Good on the crew, jacket on, as much as was possible. Helmet off after assessing the scene as non spinal, giving him water and keeping him in good spirits. I'd ride with those guys!
  • 1 1
not sure water is recommended in case you need surgery tho
  • 6 2
@marge88: to be clear don't deprive your friends of water in a situation like this. It's not like they're gonna be on the operating table within the hour - more like 4-6 hours minimum in the very best case scenario.

Appears to Have Broken His Leg ??? hmmmm... not sure, he might be just kidding.
  • 1 1
Damn, Tib/Fib and still smiling. If my leg had gone all wavy like that I'd probably be passed out from the pain. Hope he had some good on-site pain relief. He's always struck me as someone who believes in the healing power of cannabis...
  • 2 0
Oh wow, must have been minutes after we saw you at the Ranch. Heal up fast!
  • 2 1
He's tough. I tried throwing some horns after dislocating my shoulder but I think there was a grimace on my face. Heal fast dude!
