PRESS RELEASE: GlemmRide Bike Festival

5 Days, 5 Parties, 5 Reasons

The GlemmRide Bike Festival celebrates its fifth anniversary, and once again you are invited to the international bike and party gathering in SalzburgerLand. From 03.-07. July 2019, the mountain bike hotspot of the Alps will transform into a meeting place for hobby bikers, celebrities and slopestyle stars.

Anyone who has been to Saalbach Hinterglemm will know that there are no classic bike parks to be found here. What you will find is a mountain bike region á la Lässig. Surrounding the GlemmRide Bike Festival, are 400 km of marked bike trails, including single trails, downhill tracks, E-Bike routes and Enduro tours to suit every taste.

For Saalbach and GlemmRide newbies, we have listed five good reasons why you simply must be at this year’s event:

1. The FMB Gold Slopestyle is unique in its own way.
The course starts on the terrace of party venue, the ‘Goaßstall’, and continues along a route with classic slopestyle elements to the balcony of the 5-star-superior Hotel Alpine Palace and its pool down into the centre of the Expo area and over a Rivergap-Jump situated right by the stage which in the evening transforms into a party paradise. The gold-status Slopestyle event lures the mountain bike elite to the starting line.

2. The parties are legendary! Masters of What?
The party roars on over five days here. In addition to Mountain Reggae Radio and various live bands, the Masters of Dirt at the ‘Goaßstall’ guarantee an exuberant atmosphere.

3. Speed and adrenaline ….
… can be experienced on Sunday with the Specialized Rookie Cup presented by IXS. It is here that the new upcoming talent gets to show their skills that will see them as future World Cup racers.

4. The Festival Centrepiece: The Expo-Area
The Expo-area with over 50 exhibitors is smack bang in the middle of the Festival. Directly next door the Mainstage, the party locations, the Downhill track and Slopestyle course, exhibitor products can be marvelled at as well as tested.

5. The Coolest Bike Region of the Alps
In addition to the numerous side events, the GlemmRide Bike Festival has lots more to offer, including 400 km of marked biking trails, four gondolas with bike transport, 40 cosy mountain huts and lässige trails for all skill levels. Hardcore Downhillers will get their thrills on the X-Line, Freeriders can coast down the legendary Hacklbergtrail, and Enduro fans can try out the Big-5-challenge. Families will enjoy the trails on the Kohlmais with their little ones, and those who would like to bike at a more leisurely pace will enjoy exploring the region on an E-Bike.

In five words: We’ll see you at GlemmRide!
