Welcome back to Scotland for Round 2 of the HSBC UK Downhill Series and Round 2 of the Scottish Downhill Series. Hosted by the Scottish Downhill Association (SDA) we welcomed 250 riders of all ages from all over the UK to Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders. Whilst many elite racers chose to race the IXS in Maribor in preparation for the World Cup the following weekend, there were still plenty of committed SDA regulars in attendance. All categories had strong entry numbers which added to the competitive vibe of a British National round. The track was set up on Friday in some classic Scottish soggy conditions, but we all know Innerleithen is one of those venues that is great in the wet. The track was open to walk and feedback ahead of riding seemed very positive only to improve as people rode it on Saturday. Despite the rain, there was still dust in the lower sections of the track which stayed there until race day on Sunday. The heavens opened several times throughout Sunday, changing conditions for most but this kept things fair as everyone rode the same track in the same state. Round 3 sees us head to Fort William for the Scottish Champs. Entries are still available. We look forward to seeing you there.
Thanks to all the sponsors, supporters & marshals who help us continue to race.
