Am I the only one who felt that the riding was not as powerful as it should have been for that music? also when those tunes exist why the f*ck do we see videos with dub-step!!
I agree, they were really fast, but to put that music on an edit, you need a bit faster (like Kovarik fast) in my opinion. Or maybe it's just the way they ride: the riding was very flowy, whereas I think this type of music would be better suited for the "gnarly shred, bro" kind of riding
yea guns n roses dont belong in a mountain biking edit. dubstep, while it sucks is still better than GNR for shredding. imo we dont hear enough shred music in shred films. the second time i watched i turned the volume off and played miss alissa by the eagles of death metal, made it much more entertaining for me.
The riding should have been more bad ass for the music by far. Bigger hucks, faster trail etc... Going to the dubstep thing, it's just a matter of taste and that is why some people do it. Sometimes it actually goes really well for an edit but sometimes an edit goes better with this kind of music. You don't really choose the music, the edit should and they messed this one up by choosing it or the edit
Agreed Gn'R Forever! Hearing this music just pumps me up! Just want to go ride right now!!!!!! I think there should be a vid starting with paradise city (Intro in insane) and its all about the first day at Whistler, just an idea. PS: Slash was a bmx rider as a kid, which makes him ben more of a legend. Today he could have been a downhill guy!
how can i be wrong when musical taste is an opinion? i dont even like dubstep, but for this video it would of been better than guns n roses. shit, who even cares, the riding was sick.
GnR and the Crue certainly have their place and are good in their own right, but Motorhead is the only one thats actually metal. Still, all good music when compared to most of what we usually hear.
@whitebullit: sorry to disagree with you, but IMO Master of Puppets was "heavier" than Kill'em all. And what do you think of bands like Iron Maiden, Testament, Piledriver (if you know them), etc.? Metal or not? Still, you can understand the lyrics. Maybe you're talking about "trash metal" or "death metal"…
Eeeeeeeeeeeeexcellllllllllent !
Love that video!
Great music, great biking, great video, and not a single Slow mo.
Awesome place, and cute trail.
Soooo good. Wish more vids were like that one.
Please, do it again!
Guns n' Roses and MC are NOT metal bands… hard rock, at best, but if you want to hear REAL metal, listen to "Master of Puppets" from Metallica -- best metal album ever IMO.
haha metallica isnt metal. their rock. kill em all was metal, the rest is rock. metal is when you cant understand what the angry guy with the microphone is yelling about.
Check out Sospel and Blausasc. Then you got Roubion and Auron which are lift accessed an hour or so inland from Nice. Couple of company's over the border in Italy which run uplift services by van. Try rivierabike.co.uk. I came down two years ago and never went home. Enjoy.
