That was the epitome of shred. An instant-classic vid...seems like all of his recent releases have been full of him just raging on the trails! Damn....
and there is this guy, www.pinkbike.com/video/424255 with everything well coordinated, with matching kits to boot. quit labeling and putting everything in a box. we are all here, in this bike riding shit to be free.
Dirtbagmatt - you obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about. Kinda surprised that you didn't call it EDM though..
Google the genres you've mentioned and you'll see what I mean.
As stated above, how on earth is the prodigy techno? Not all electronic music is the same, there's already a big difference for example between dnb/dubstep/uk garage and techno or house. Again, use google for 5 minutes max and you'll see what I mean.
yeah, it seems what is called techno is really different to what I was thinking. Also in my memories drum and bass has a bpm way slower ? pardon my lack of knowledge, apart from boards of canada, mr scruff and hidden orchestra and few others, i'm not so much into electronic music.
Not a real working definition but simply put, techno generally (!) is more mechanical sounding, stripped to the bone (i.e. no fancy effects) and a bit slower but heavier. DnB is a bit quicker generally (!) and a bit lighter on its feet. Breakbeat based.
Someone with a musical background can probably explain it better.
The guy's style is wild, first saw a vid of him last year and it definitely stuck. Can't believe how fast he zips round some of those berms, that right hander at 2:43!
