With the UCI having a more, shall we say, constricted, hold on the coverage of the biggest event on the world mountain bike calendar, it's been a little confusing trying to sort out how and where to watch the action. We've done some digging and have compiled the list below to help take the struggle away for most of you looking to tune in and enjoy the race of your choice at the Cairns World Championships this week. Some of these sources will broadcast the action live, while others will be giving viewers highlights only.

Where to Watch

As with the World Cup series, Red Bull TV will broadcast the racing live, though there will be some limitations.  Well, as long as viewers in Kazakhstan get to watch it.
  • + 10
Then maybe I'll move there. At least for the week-end. No DHI in Switzerland ? Great idea. Good luck Schurter and Neff. But sorry I won't watch XC.
  • + 22
Anyway thanks Pinkbike for this comprehensive broadcast status. Fuck SRF. It looks like they'll show the ladies at 11.00, when everybody will know who is world champ. And that's it.
  • + 2
 ! Right?!
  • + 25
I guess they are the number one exporter of Potassium.
  • + 6
Really?? all thats doing is encouraging us to find "unorthodox" ways to watch
  • + 16
 wa wa wewa!
  • + 1
 Malaysia can watch. Woohoo.
  • + 53
@SlopeStyleDrew: "Getting to watch DH WC in Kazakhstan: Great Success!"
  • + 11
I'm just stoked the Leichtensteininians get to watch it too. There's a lot of dh in Leichtenstein
  • + 1
@EnduroManiac: SRF doesn't even broadcast the dh. But f*ck all of this very much, anyway.
  • + 4
@kmayHD: It's easy to do that if all the other countries are run by little girls...
  • + 4
@EnduroManiac: Use a VPN and watch RedBull TV... They'll even have the replay available later so you can sleep late!
  • + 3
 Use VPN.
  • + 12
"Well, as long as viewers in Kazakhstan get to watch it."

Yeah, he's stoked!
  • + 5
Use a VPN to trick the site into thikning you're in a different country.
  • + 1
@Husker2112: isn't there like, a canyon there? must be 100' of vert maybe? epic.
  • + 1
Uhhh, guys. It's still not listed in the upcoming events on the US Redbull TV app, does that mean we have to go to the website to watch?
  • + 5
@endlessblockades: Kazakhstan is like geographically the 9th largest country in the world with a pretty good economy, about 20 million people and some spectacular wilderness. I recommend a visit!
  • + 2
Verrry niiiice!.......if you don't live in Hong Kong....
  • + 2
@EnduroManiac: I contacted them yesterday. No reply until now. But I just checked the program, they show they show the women DH from 11:15-12:05 local time.
They really suck.
Is this the reason RedBull can not stream it in Switzerland? Thank you UCI!!!
I still hope it will work, because on the Redbull site the countdown is ticking, perhaps they still stream it...
  • + 1
@squarewheel: Yeah let's hope RedBull show the guy as SRF is not broadcasting it. I'm a little sceptical though, I guess the bought the entire rights, though they won't do anything out of Men's DH. We can try to catch Eurosport 2 though, from 11.00 though, when I'll be gone for a ride Frown
  • + 1
@EnduroManiac: Checked Eurosport 2 did not see anything about CC or DH in the time table. :-(
  • + 1
 @squarewheel: thanks for the info!
  • + 1
@squarewheel: I just repeat what I read on this page. So maybe Switzerland would have to be removed from this list for Eurosport 2 Pan Europe Frown
  • + 1
So can someone plesae make a torrent and upload it on Pirate Bay?
At least I can legally download it and watch it later.
  • + 2
@pakleni: I don't see how this would be legal. None of us owns the uci rights I believe.
  • + 2
@EnduroManiac: given the circumstances, torrenting the replay from someone who screengrabs it seems like quite a comfortable solution tough, even illegally.
  • + 1
Use a VPN and you will be able to access it anywhere
  • + 1
@EnduroManiac: Who's going to be world champ then? I love spoilers.
  • + 1
 @pisseuse: Thanks for posting!
  • + 3
@vinay: purely statistical projection: should be Nicolas Vouilloz and Anne-Caroline Chausson. I didn't their performance lately though
  • + 2
 Borat rules! Smile
  • + 1
@EnduroManiac: are you like me and in Switzerland but want English commentary?! I would use a VPN man, that's what I'll be doing! Should be easy enough, just google it.
  • + 2
@skiwenric: what is the unorthodox way? seriously i really want to watch from Vancouver.....
  • + 3
@tommyboy604: Tunnel Bear has a free trial and it's working for me, watching the XC right now.
  • + 12
To all Canadians, install the Hoxx VPN extension in Chrome > Register > Sign-in > Select United States > Refresh Redbull... Bam! Done.
  • + 1
@Thimk: Hey, how do you register. intalled the VPN but can t find the registration icon
  • + 1
@Thimk: Thanks a lot, worked perfect.
  • + 1
 Yessss!! Thank you ???????????????? @Thimk:
  • + 1
@ashleydphelan: Hey, if you got a sec, can walk me through it? cheers
  • + 1
@ashleydphelan: got it!!! woot woot thanks @Thimk
  • + 1
 @Thimk: You're a lifesaver! Thanks!
  • + 1
 @Thimk: Nice one...!
  • + 3
I once sore a documentary called Borat , think he was from Kazakhstan . He traveled to the USA to learn of your culture . If was fSmile Smile king hilarious !
  • + 1
Does anyone know if his film was successful enough that he didn't have to be executed? @Matt115lamb:
  • + 2
 TOR browser is your friend.
  • + 1
@powderturns: yea man it's called micro dh
  • + 1
Back in the day I used to wait for the Earthed video to come out with all the footage. In the mean time I could read the race reports in Dirt magazine, which came out every two months. So yeah, bring Earthed back and no one has to worry about live streams anymore.
  • + 1
@tommyboy604: TOR browser, masks that you in Ca. just watched a replay of the XC
  • + 2
 @Matt115lamb:
Tell me you are joking about borat, it's hard to tell in text
  • + 1
??? Was meant to be a thumbs up emoji.
  • + 1
 @Thimk: THANK YOU!!!!!!!
  • + 1
@pisseuse: link gets me to the page but it cannot load the vid...what the heck!
  • + 1
 @randybadger: are you a shapeshifting Jew ?
  • + 1
@TheLongMan: yep same here, been like this for hours.. good job RBTV!
  • + 1
 @Thimk: Thanks that worked! Smile
  • + 1
@Matt115lamb: my wife, she is dead. Hi five!!
  • + 59
Waiting for the maple leaf shit storm. *grabs popcorn*
  • + 203
 we. are. mad. sorry.
  • + 7
 @atrokz: Beautifully spoken
  • + 7
You maybe able on an ipvanish software? If you logon with a VPN connection showing your public IP as say Atlanta,Georgia in USA you maybe able to then stream red bull, cause it will show you are not in Canada. You might run into geo issue on red bull. I will try when I get home and let you know.
  • + 17
 I'll oblige.

The f*ck? Why can it be broadcast in every first world country except Canada?
  • + 8
@mnorris122: would it be rude to say maybe the answer is in your question?
  • + 5
Canada. Get the Express VPN (or similar) for iPad/iPhone and set location to US and watch Redbull TV app and stream to TV if you desire. I do this all the time in others countries for HBO when I travel. Yes it costs money to use Express VPN for annual fee, but the app works perfect and I can use it on all my devices and laptop.
  • + 1
 Hahahah
  • + 2
@atrokz: the most Canadian thing ever said.
  • - 1
@atrokz: shit, no need to be sorry. You got homies in the US who think it's bullshit! Give the VPN idea a shot. No reason it shouldn't work.
  • + 2
 Glad I have a VPN.
  • + 8
People are talking about VPNs and stuff and I'm over here still making lame jokes about how I don't know my RAM from my ROM.....
  • + 1
@Triber66: hahahaha!! Well shit man, you knew enough to make that joke, right?
  • + 3
Ok no geo restrictions on Redbull with VPN tunnel. Verified by changing public IP to east coast city in USA. I would purchase VPN software via cryptocurrency that way you can be even more discrete hehe.
  • + 1
@Rider656: is that an accurate test though, as you live in the US? Assuming that the Red bull site itself is blocked in Canadia, ideally someone up there would try it.
  • + 1
@therealtylerdurden: I can get to the live event countdown without a VPN.
  • + 1
@YouHadMeAtDrugs: hoping the best for you gents and gals.
  • + 2
@mnorris122: Not every first world country. Unless you surprisingly classified Switzerland Wink
  • + 46
I feel for you canada ! But what about us Scots ! Yes it's broadcast but a 4am ! FFS 4am in Scotland. Every fucked will be in in a alcohol coma on the kitchen floor ,cuddling a cold kebab and proposing to the microwave !
  • + 36
Would it be any different at breakfast, midday, tea or bed time? I think not and that is one of the reasons I love Scotland.
  • + 7
I've seen Trainspotting. Isn't everyone in Scotch land on heroin?
  • + 10
@bigtim: Surprised you're not out hunting Haggis at that time, it's prime Haggis time.
  • + 34
Excuse me west coast of BC here , I watch almost every single world cup at 4am thank you very much, you get one race! Man I though Scot's were tough, not mewling on the floor over a mere 20 or 30 beers!
  • + 15
Haha mate welcome to what us Aussies have to do for just about every race of the season!
  • + 1
 @Bomadics: more like 50-60 whisky's
  • + 1
buckfast and biking. Scotland has it all
  • + 42
Absolutely ridiculous! So Canadians can;t watch our athletes compete? The home of some of the best riding and best bike companies in the world is left in the dark. Classic.
  • + 100
Canadian content laws dictate that they have to show a Brian Adams video every 4th racers to ensure 25% of the content originated from Canada. They couldn't clear the summer of 69 with Redbull so no dice. Sad but understandable.
  • + 4
@employee7: surely there are at least 25% of riders sponsored by Raceface, Chromag, Rocky, and all the other Canadian bike brands.....
  • + 38
@RearBrake: While that is technically true the Canadian content is determined by weight. So a cromag bar weighs only about 1.3% of the weight of a rider and bike so it only counts for 1.3% Canadian content. Given the fact that 26 bars, 3 frames and 18 seats will be run on race day that only accounts for 2.3% of the gross weight of the competition being of Canadian origin hence the unusually heavy Brian Adams requirement.
  • + 4
I am completely shocked. I was really looking forward to watching the race.
  • + 4
@pav4: VPN, spoof your country and watch it in 'Kazakhstan' Wink
  • + 4
@employee7: give Miranda Miller a front row seat and a case of Pil then zoom in on her reaction during the pedally sections which should be about 25% of the race.
  • + 1
@RearBrake: that would be 150% Canadian content.
  • + 2
I used TOR browser to watch the XC champs last night. I hope i'm not going to prison for that :S
  • + 38
f*cking Sky Sports in NZ?! What the f*ck UCI.
  • + 9
I'm with you - the worst news for Kiwi mountain bikers. They're robbers.
  • + 11
Yup, and the f$#kers have put it on sky sport 6 so you can't even get fanpass to watch. The sooner sky burns in hell the better!!
  • - 3
 Fckin, fckin Boo!
  • + 8
Thats horseshit. Finally a decent time difference and it goes to those cunzors!
  • + 5
@KiwiXC: Was gearing up for a couple of beers and some sweet sweet DH on Sunday arvo. But that's been shat on from a great height.
  • + 2
Just use a proxy and watch it on redbull tv. Might load a tad slower.
  • + 3
 @Clarkeh: tell us more
  • + 1
 @t8500: refer other posts
  • + 1
I thought that Sky’s view is “If it’s not Rugby, then it’s not a sport”, I’ll be highly pissed if I click on my Redbull player and it says it’s not available.
  • + 1
I ditched Sky a couple of weeks ago and have no regrets. This just makes me hate them more. To the Proxy!
  • + 2
Just get a VPN and set it to another country redbull is streaming it in and you should be good to go?
  • + 24
UCI sucks! Can't wait for Redbul to take the series on their own. Please make it happen, *nothing* the UCI has done for DH has been good.
  • + 9
I'm sure a few years back red bull was to hold there own World Series that ran along side the uci season but then at the 11th hour the UCI introduced the "if you race a non UCI race you get your pro card taken away" rule
  • + 8
@pimpedupmonkey: Yea, they are certainly trying to simultaneously control WC DH and ruin it at the same time.
  • + 2
 @atrokz: exactly- control AND ruin.
  • + 18
No Canada, well I guess this is what proxies are for Razz
I'd get mad at UCI and Redbull but I am guessing this has more to do with the CRTC
  • + 8
 Email the UCI admin@uci.ch
  • + 2
yes, with proxies, it seems that with "Tor" it will work
  • + 15
I don't why we as fans continue to tolerate UCI as the governing body of MTB and BMX racing. They are only there to make money, they don't care about the sport of it.
  • + 20
@hetfield1: they absolutely do not care. Road is their baby, and XC is their redheaded step child. DH and BMX are adopted and shackled in the basement. Anyone remember dick pound?
  • + 7
@atrokz: Well, he deserves his name
  • + 2
@chunkygorillas Even if that's the case, it's reeeeeediculous. It's not like other countries don't have telecomms regulators.
  • + 2
 Lol who is Dick Pound?!
  • + 4
@therealtylerdurden: I am also curious but will pass on Googling it
  • + 2
@colemanb: it's actually no big deal. He was a swimmer or some shit. And that was his actual name! lol
  • + 11
Attention Canadians: This is not a CRTC thing. It comes down to who owns the rights. Last year that was Sportsnet, or more specifically Rogers Media. Safe to assume that they still control the broadcast rights. Don't like it? Then tweet and email them and tell them that:

feedback@sportsnet.rogers.com
twitter.com/Sportsnet
www.facebook.com/sportsnet
  • + 3
Thank you, finally someone who knows what they are talking about. Its a shame, they will probably air it on TV in an edited 30 minute Tv Spot in 4 weeks at 2:30am in the morning as well.
  • + 2
@scissors888: That's what they did last year but they didn't block the live feed. Send them an email, they need to know people care.
  • + 10
canadian people: you can download a google chrome extension called "hola!" which allows you to simulate if you are in another country and watch it live throu your comp.

You´re welcome

That's great and all but Canada equals best
  • + 4
Thanks for that, I'll give it a shot!

@brianclaw: well, there goes that idea. Thanks for the heads up
  • + 1
wow, sorry, seems that I need to uninstall mine ahah well there must be other options for the same thing.. I use it to watch Netflix from US, UK, etc which is way different than the chilean version... Thanks for the heads up
  • + 2
 @maxnomas: try TorGaurd or mullvad
  • + 2
Tunnel Bear is a legit VPN, has a free trial and is working for me.
  • + 1
@src248: expressVPN is completely legitimate and you get a 7 day free trial. I used it when in China and it worked every time.
  • + 2
@src248: Ohhhh thanks for that! Like a charm and only took a minute or three!
  • + 9
North Korea's not on the list either
  • + 6
One of the top DH contenders for the title is South African Greg Minnaar, yet South Africa is not on the list. First time in 10 years I can't watch the World Champs. This is RedBullShit guys.
  • + 8
 Not online, but:
SS2 – South Africa
  • + 2
dude just go read, its there...
  • + 1
@Liam-du-plessis: Thanks dude. I saw it was added to the list. Beers are ready.
  • + 1
It may have been on the list but it should not have been. No red bull stream for us..The other channels AJ referred to are pay to watch satellite tv.
  • + 9
Am I reading that right?! No coverage in Canada?!
  • + 8
 Yep. It's the pits.
  • + 4
 Not even on the radio??
  • + 4
Over in the UK it's been shown on the BBC. Any chance you guys over in the Land of Syrup could watch it live through them?
  • + 44
Depends how strong your binoculars are
  • + 7
And Canada is not on the list. What a surprise!!!! CRTC again? Sometimes we question where their minds are - must be up their ass. HMA doesn't work here anymore either.
  • + 1
 uh...
  • + 1
The way World Champs works (all BTW, not just MTB). UCI offers up broadcast rights to a country for a fee. Rogers, CBC, Shaw, Bell etc can all bid (buy for a fee) to broadcast the rights. If they do not buy? then there is a blackout in effect.

Work around is purchase and install a VPN (I use Tunnerl Bear), then you can say you are anywhere in the world that has purchased the rights, and "Bob's your Uncle".. watch the live show.
  • + 5
You're all crying for a problem that doesn't even exist...

Pro tip: Install Epic Broswer -> Turn Encrypted Proxy "ON" -> Select a country which has the streaming available -> Go to RedBull.tv -> Voilá
  • + 1
 Thank you
  • + 4
"Check out UCI MTB World Championship www.redbull.tv/live/AP-1RA8HCC8N2111/uci-mtb-world-championship #redbulltv

Watch LIVE September 8 at 1:50 AM GMT"

Hey there, my fellow Canadians! Turns out Pinkbike lied!
  • + 2
Looks good so far. Hopefully no need to setup a VPN. Smile
  • + 7
Or its just waiting until the last minute to say its unavailable in your region.
  • + 1
 @tkrug: That's what they did. f*ckerz!
  • + 5
Would a VPN that 'changes' your IP address to a different country work if you're in a country where it is not available? Can't see why it shouldn't...
  • + 2
Yes, that's part of the appeal of a VPN. Need to make sure your VPN is located in a country where it is available.
  • + 2
Be ready for possible latency, though. Considering there have been some submarine cable outages already, do note that a VPN slows your internet down even further.
  • + 1
Just setup or subscribe to a VPN, such as Witopia, and login to redbull virtually in another location. A good vpn will let you watch several streams of 1080p or 4k if your local connection is fast as well.
  • + 7
No television network coverage in Canada and no Redbull feed--thanks UCI.
  • + 2
Do we at least get the replay ??
  • + 2
The Red Bull App has it listed as a live event at the correct time, as it has with all the other UCI World Cups... Unless this is a new development (in response to our outrage) and the article hasn't been updated. It seems we will be able to watch it!?
  • + 1
And here in Germany, it isn't shown, although we are on the list... :O
  • + 1
I'm in Canada, and I can't find it on RedBull app. Shit balls
  • + 1
@cherry21jeff: I can't find it on the app, but it's on the desktop site. Hopefully it works.
  • + 1
@YouHadMeAtDrugs: can't see the XC tonight....
  • + 3
 Says "Live Now" for XC...
Clicks "Live Now"...
Redirects, then shows "View More"...
Clicks on "View More"....
Redirects to "Live now".... Sigh...

Seems as if PB is correct, No Go!
  • + 1
 @djmann:
THIS.
SUCKS.
THIS.
SUCKS.
THIS.
SUCKS.
  • + 1
Worked for Germany in the end. Sorry for you guys...
  • + 3
I might be going mad but isn't the juniors normally shown too at champs?? What's happened to that?? Redbull, take over you can call it the rainbow zigzags. F the stripes and the uci! #warnerisgod
  • + 2
What kind of coverage and we expect from the Beeb or Eurosport then? If RBTV is broadcasting then Rob and Claudio are likely there but I doubt very much the BBC or Eurosport will just stream the RBTV commentary. Are we going to have to suffer some crappy dumbed down 'media for the masses' coverage talking about their fancy expensions and oil filled brakes by some useless vacuous bimbo reading a script? Or will they have got some industry insiders to do it properly? I'll sleep in and catch the RBTV replay if it's the former.
  • + 2
3:55 BST (UK Time) +1 Day (On a Saturday on RBTV)

Here is says sunday....

BBC Red Button – UK

• Sunday, September 10, 2017 // 2:55–3:45 BST (Live – Elite Women DHI)
• Sunday, September 10, 2017 // 4:55–7:55 BST (Live – Elite Men DHI)

Which is it. Saturday morning or Sunday Morning. Both claim they are live.

How to Watch the 2017 Cairns MTB World Championships if you are Canadian:

You can't.
  • + 1
Plenty of free VPN's out there... shouldn't take you long to get it sorted out. Check out Hoxx vpn for starters
  • + 2
Would there be some more information of how the business/legislative mechanism behind this arrangement works?

Is it so that federal cycling unions have to pay to Redbull that in their country it is possible to watch the livestream?
Or pay to UCI?
Or does this have something to do with national broadcast companies that have "reserved rights", but depending on their decisions they'll either broadcast or not..?
  • + 1
The Spanish public sports tv channel Teledeporte plans (let's see if the eventually fulfill...) to broadcast the XC and DH finals. They usually offer online streaming, although not sure if it works outside of Spain, it might be geo restricted (once again, you can always try a proxy Wink ).

Saturday
04:00 am CET+1: Elite XC women
06:30 am CET+1: Elite XC men

Sunday
06:00 am CET+1: Elite DH men

*CET Central European Time

 Die UCI! Long live Crankworx!
  • + 5
Thanks PB, you done real good with this.
  • + 1
So f*****n typical of the ass wipes in the UCI

Sooner they get kicked to curb like the ghey skin suits they promoted for years the better! Esp for DH...

I can't believe the rides haven't just packed up and started they're own competition yet, like the EWS did, best thing they ever did not letting these roadie muppets with they're greedy paws crawling over Enduro!
  • + 3
Seriously? If I was in Afghanistan I could watch it but not here in Switzerland? Dang... But thank you Pinkbike for the rundown.
  • + 5
So where CAN we watch it in Canada???
  • + 4
From your computer with some help, like a proxy. Wink
  • + 4
@AJBarlas: Is there an easy "How-to" you would suggest for these proxies?
  • + 3
@cky78: I use www.tunnelbear.com . It is a easy to use VPN that allows you to select a country. Just buy a 1 month subscription for $10. Done.
  • + 1
@alwaysOTB: anyone know if there are pure browser based VPN's that don't require installing a client (like Tunnelbear does?). I have a work laptop I want to stream the race on but can't install a client.

I have no problem buying one month of a premium service... just has to be browser based as I can't change my network settings or install clients.
  • + 2
@alwaysOTB: nevermind, I see there is a Chrome add-in so you don't need the full client. Confirmed the geo location feature works just now... so assuming it's fast enough with a premium account I am set.
  • + 3
@gramboh: The Opera browser has a VPN built in that works perfectly!... There's also a free VPN add-on for Chrome called TouchVPN that I use to watch EuroSport.
  • - 1
Apparently also a Chrome Extension called Hola that does the same thing.
  • + 3
@Callum-H: Beware, there are massive security issues using Hola, just google 'Hola issues' and make you own choice. Cheers.
  • + 1
@bingbongmtb: Oh yeah I didn't know this, will admit i saw someone else comment that Hola will work so I shared it in this reply thread haha. Thanks for the info though dude!
  • + 1
@billreilly: Thanks. This worked for me in Canada!
  • + 1
 @billreilly:

Thanks i got touchvpn working with my location set to Sweden. Watching the women's xc right now, which wasn't working before
  • + 2
If someone takes the time to set up a live stream via Ace Player for everyone missing on it he'd be people's hero, because i dont imagine VPN + redbull tv working without buffering from time to time.
  • + 3
I'm up for face timing people in. Won't be the best quality of course, but anything to break the capitalists pricks stranglehold on the thing we love.
  • + 1
Just setup or subscribe to a VPN, such as Witopia, and login to redbull virtually in another location
  • + 1
Overpriced Starhub in Singapore.....Can we assume replays on Redbull TV will be available everywhere? Happy to watch it later in the day, just need to stay off social media....hehe
  • + 1
Does anyone know why they don't just hold this race at Thredbo? There's definitely some dope sections at Cairns, but Thedbo seems like the way more proper course for a downhill race in Australia.
  • + 2
What the fuck America and Canada aren't on the list! The UCI is totally fucked! Whatever dumb fuck is in charge of the UCI needs to die the universe will be better off!
  • + 1
We're on it. Listed as US. I almost shit myself for a second or three.
  • + 4
finally, being from a 3rd word country paid off!
  • + 2
"Where are they now?" reunion shows for Littlest Hobo and Snow Job will be aired in their entirety. Aussies stuck in Whistler are in for a real treat.
  • + 4
It's on SBS Viceland in Australia as well
  • + 1
It is courtesy to list times in local, GMT for global reference which you can easily shift to your local time and then in local times as bonus. For a while I was scared I will have to get up so early tomorrow.
  • + 1
heaven forbid you need to do your own research?
  • + 1
BBC also showing again on red button later from 9:20 and it will be available on BBC iPlayer. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/41151447
  • + 3
 WTF Canada! Anyone an alternative?
  • + 1
The BBC is showing the DH World Champs. Try using a VPN on their iPlayer service?
  • + 1
 @ItsOnlyJayke:

They are too
www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/41147944

I bet Warner isn't commentating
  • + 3
 Wtf no broadcast in Canada!?
  • + 2
Another reason why I should move to Serbia! As if there aren't enough already. Ajmoooo!
  • + 3
 UCI email Address admin@uci.ch
  • + 3
That'll go to a tech guy who checks the mail box once a week and probably doesn't give a flying f**k.
  • + 4
 I blame Satan!!!!!!!!!
  • + 7
No, no--Satan is in charge of UCI's road biking group : )
  • + 1
@Geriatric-J: NO NO that'd be DIDI SNEFT, UCI road bows before him, for he is the true DEVIL on the mountain.
  • + 3
It's the World Champs - Show the future, the junior men and women please.
  • + 3
How many people are going to be watching from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka?
  • + 2
if they get at least 1 it'll be more than in canada since it's not brodcast here....
  • + 2
 More than us canadians ey!
  • + 1
If your country isn't listed, use a VPN to your laptop or iPad/iPhone etc. I use Express VPN which works perfect for my iPad. Good luck
  • + 3
so sunday at 11:55 PM on the east coast USA?
  • + 8
I read that as Saturday at 11:55pm.
  • + 1
This confuses me too. LA is only 3 hours behind NY but they have added 3 hours and 1 day from that time. Captain?
  • + 1
That's what I gathered..... I think.... maybe. The whole + 1 day is throwing me off, but 23:55 on Saturday the 9th+1 day seems like it would be Sunday at 11:55
  • + 1
 Agreed. Confusing as PB. Jeez.

The World Champs are in Australia PB, not the Pacific Seaboard of the Continental USA. Get global why not.

If you are the global MTB site that you profess to be, why not have a think about your confirmation bias. Might I suggest you use the actual days and times of the events in the countries that they take place as your base. You know, like this:

mtbworldscairns.com.au/FILES/MTMUCI031708-Official%20Competition%20Schedule-V1.pdf

The XC is not on Friday with +1 in the far east, it is on Saturday in Australia.
The DH is not on Saturday with +1 in the far east, it is on Sunday in Australia.

The rest of us can work it out thanks without you making it more confusing for anyone not living where you do.

Ta.
  • + 3
Do something productive this weekend I guess, like a ride !
  • + 2
Well this is a load of f*cking shit. Are we able to watch the replay on Redbull... let's say an hour later?
  • + 3
 How to watch: You don't.

K. Thanks.
  • + 1
no kidding. and a Canadian site to boot.
  • + 1
 No doot aboot it @atrokz:
  • + 2
Hey redbull - most mtb'ers don't have sky tv.., get NZ added to the redbull broadcast list!
  • + 2
Do you wanna watch.... okay... install safevpn app for free and simulate the australian connection.....
  • + 2
Right so because someone in US wrote this, he's now decided that the XC is on Friday and the Downhill on Saturday.......nice
  • + 1
Moves to Canada...can't watch world champs. Not that I could drink good beer to it, but let me watch it live atleast!
  • + 2
WTF !! why can't we watch it here ?? this is total bullshit.
  • + 1
I'm assuming Redbull Will use their usual format.. being able to catch the replay??
  • + 1

  • + 2
@NoskillNotalent: we were just discussing about an incredibly expert and talented reporter who worked for the italian state television until some time ago Wink
  • + 2
@frlnpl: How talented is she? We need pics.
  • + 1
@MTB-Colada: ahahah "talented" not in that meaning Wink it was quite sarcastic indeed
  • + 1
Or you could just be there!
  • + 1
when is/was DH qualifying? is there a live time board for that?
  • + 1
I believe there's no Qualifying at World Champs. I'm pretty they seed based on UCI points or something like that.
  • + 1
@brenthillier: Ah, it's all starting to make sense--thanks!
  • + 1
 Is the answer "with beer?"
  • + 1
You could've just put US on top, where it belongs.
