Huck Wagon supports the trails that they shuttle

For the past 3 years, the Huck Wagon has been a popular feature of the North Shore bike scene. Originally founded by Tim Petrescue, the shuttle was not a new idea at all. Every now and then we run into someone who tells us how he and his buddies “thought of starting a shuttle service many years ago” Tim had the guts to take out a sizable loan, put a daring paint job on the jet black body and see where this adventure would take him. In 2004 Tim partnered up with Martin Schoenberg from ESC Bike Camps and the second Huck Wagon was brought to life.Raging high gas prices made the Huck team re-think the business model and a decision was made to merge the start-up with a more established service company- ESC. This year, after many improvements brought by Martin’s style of management, the Huck Wagon faces the fundamental question: make it or break it. Huck Wagon remains a loyal supporter of the NSMBA but we try reach out beyond the North Shore. With limited cash on hand, we decided to help as much as we can. So far we brought a full van of helping hands to the trail day in Squamish and one to Sumas mountain to help out the Valley guys.

The price hike was a painful but necessary move this year as the gas gauging (as we refer to inflated profits of oil companies) makes our operations more difficult than ever. On the other side we created incentives for groups of riders and in some cases the price per shuttle is lower than it was last year. Our first offer is the Book Of 3 for $25 (save $5). You will save more if you pre-pay for 10 shuttles (that will bring the per-shuttle price to $7.69). Finally if there are 4 of you or more- get the Group Book of 10 and pay only $7 per shuttle- that’s $1 less than last year’s price.

All riders should keep in mind that $1 from every rider goes to support NSMBA and trail maintenance on the North Shore.

Support the trails, ride the Wagon!
