Press Release: Hunt

2020 is set to be the biggest and most exciting year yet. The Hunt Mountain wheel range only launched in May 2018, yet we're humbled to be able to support such a variety of incredible individuals. Our established family welcomes three new members in Chloe Taylor, Matt Simmonds and Jamie Edmondson.

From National Downhill Champions to Top 20 EWS racers, full time athletes and those splitting time between commitments, we couldn't do what we do without them. Throughout the year they'll provide us with a constant stream of feedback and suggestions, to ensure we stand by our promise to provide the best products for devoted riders like you.

Matt Stuttard
"Last season I set my goals on a Top 20 overall World finish. From the word go we set out pretty well, bringing in some good consistent results, I was super happy to come away confident. Bring on 2020!"

Chloe Taylor
"I’m really excited to be riding for Hunt and Privateer this season. I’ll be racing these products around the world on the Enduro World Series.
I’ve been training really hard this off-season to make myself fighting fit as the women’s field is so strong at the moment!
Let’s go!!!"

Matt Simmonds
"For 2020 I'll be taking a step away from World Cup racing to focus on my new venture ProLine MTB coaching. However I won't be completely moving away from racing, still plan to be competitive at British Downhill and Enduro races, plus other select events."

Becci Skelton
"This season I have 2 main goals - First one to is to retain my National Overall DH title along with heading to some races across the channel in Europe doing a couple of IXS races and also try the EWS in France"

Jamie Edmondson
"I'm excited to be taking on my first year in Elite DH, racing a full World cup program. Not only that, I'll be out at some of the European rounds of the EWS."

Rob Williams
"Riding the full EWS season is my main goal for the season. I've been training hard over the winter and hope to see a solid improvement in results compared to last season, with goals of top 30 stage times."

Sophie Tyas
"After a break from racing, for 2019 I was back between the tape and excited to take the BC DH Cup overall. This season I am going to ride my bicycles for pure bliss - be it racing, riding or content creation."

Liam Saint
"Splitting time between family and racing, my main focus will be the Pearce DH Series. Alongside racing, I'll help to develop product and work on some upcoming media projects"

Will Easey
"This year is more about having fun and creating content. Although I'll still be doing the odd Welsh enduro or National round along with a big trip to the Alps in the summer, possibly with some racing involved."

Chris Sutcliffe
"Last season I probably didn’t race as much as I could have, so this year I be focusing on getting some solid results at National Enduro Rounds, plus maybe some DH races as well"

Kerry Wilson
"Being based out in Morzine for the majority of the year, the IXS European Downhill series is my main goal. From that I'm also hoping to score enough points to be able to race a World Cup round"

Dylan Layzell
"Having to sit out the majority of last season with injury was tough, so this year I'll be making the most and enjoying being back out on the bike. I'll be racing at a number of events and working on various media projects."

Oli McKenna
"I stepped away from racing last season to raise my family but now I am chomping at the bit to get back racing. My main focus for this season is the British Enduro series"

Dom Knight
"I'll be splitting my time between working and riding for HUNT, with the aim to produce a range of media projects throughout the year.
With another Whistler summer to look forward to, I want to continue focusing my time there, pushing my riding, the content I create and my career."

Anyone riding the Enduro-wide wheels, I’m considering getting a set?
The price is fairly attractive shipped to Canada.
  • 4 0
No the enduro, but me and a mate have the trail wide and can say they are great esp for the price.
  • 5 0
Yeah mate. I'm running a enduro wide rear wheel 36 spoke. Bullet proof and fast rolling and really stiff. Better than my e13 wheels which folded on me after 5months use.

 @Rahayward: Thanks for the feedback
  • 3 0
 @Georgecookie: Good to know,
Maybe a set of Enduro wides in my future.
  • 2 0
I've dented my Enduro wides worse in 6 month than 2 years on oem DT Swiss m1900. But for the price I can't really complain but they are a softer alloy. Hubs are ok.

@Jcolis1904: DT swiss use jedi force to create enduro rims that hold up to dh use..

I ride the trailwide 29'' on my hardtail and could not be happier, super sturdy. I wonder how can the Enduro can be even tougher.
  • 4 0
@Fiuz: i broke a trailwide while casing it so they can be tougher. They sent me an enduro wide for free!
  • 4 1
Have a wheelset from Hunt, and can honestly say between the honest weight and the amazing price, they kick ass! Hubs are quite a buzz though. no big deal
  • 5 2
I have no idea who Becci Skelton is, but the border collie gets her an instagram follow.
