Hunters and Gatherers in Arosa Lenzerheide

Let’s take a visual trip down memory lane and look back at last year’s Schnitzeljagd (hunt of the Schnitzel) in Sölden with a few shots from the event. A great mix of Enduro racing, tricky tasks, friendship and good food makes this event a must-do for every mountain biker who likes to race in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Let’s also have a look at what the organizers have in store for 2017.

German mountain bike legend, Holger Meyer and his wife Karen Eller, who casually won the Transalp Challenge 3 times in her career as a mountain bike professional, are the initiators of the Schnitzeljagd. After their successful racing careers, they are now ambassadors for Scott, riding for photo shoots and managing dierasenmaeher.de. As truly passionate mountain bikers they organize events and camps with a twist, to ensure an unforgettable experience for the participants.

The racing format for the Schnitzeljagd is easy: Bring your better half or a friend, ride the best trails in the region, find your way to the checkpoints, complete the challenging tasks as fast as possible and get to the finish line where a huge Schnitzel and a cold brew is waiting for you. You guessed it, to get to the finish line is not as easy as it sounds. But sure as hell a lot of fun. The puzzles and skill tasks are going to test you and your partner to the max.

The concept remains the same: After the starting signal, teams of two have to choose their routes, find checkpoints, accomplish delicate missions and collect stamps busy as bees. The HÖRNLI TRAILJAGD challenges your tactical skills as well as your sense of direction and will reward you with a toothy grin on your face, impressive titbits for your eyes and tasty meals in rustic huts on the way. We’re impatiently waiting for the 14th of July to rip the trails with you. Booking and more information about the HÖRNLI TRAILJAGD.

Next to the Schnitzeljagd in Sölden, the Knödeljagd in Gröden/Val Gardena can be added to your race calendar. All the more, we’re becoming fidgety, thinking of the first HÖRNLI TRAILJAGD in Arosa Lenzerheide this summer! The peaks of the Swiss Alps are stringing together, circling lush flowy meadows as well as steep and rocky slopes. Within this picturesque and pristine landscape, over 500km signalled mountain bike trails and over 900 GPS routes are ready to be ridden. Holger and Karen have picked the best trails for you to explore and shred. Arosa is a typical Swiss mountain village located right in the centre of these challenging trails and therefore the perfect location for another crisp edition of this culinary chase for score points!
