We hit the road with Humbolt locals, Tsering Alleyne and Kyle Warner, to explore the Northern Coast of California surrounding Arcata. What we found were an abundance of amazing trails with little to nobody riding them... a mountain bikers dream. Met these guys while they were in Sunny Brae. They are all super chill and didn't mind me hanging during the shoot. Kyle is an absolute shredder! Good to see Humboldt get recognized for something other than weed. One thing though, it's Damonte not Demonte.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh Sunny Brae!!! I miss Humboldt so much and that is probably the most flowey trail out there. I've been waiting for PB to do a video of what's up there, so many hidden gems.
I have a Marin Attack Trail 2010, I needed a replacement rear triangle and put the order in at the LBS... they contacted the LBS two months later asking what colour I wanted... two months! So in the mean time I bought another bike from different brand and wont be going back. Great bikes but their dealer support, customer service and their marketing (seems to only focus around California) sucks.
Dang I grew up here and don't recognize some of those first few trails. I know the SB trail, the jump track above hole 7 at the disc golf course, and paradise... But I need new trails... Please help me haha. This pompus place seems to be the secret and it looks sick from the videos I've seen. Hit me up if you're in humboldt... I just enjoy riding and am trying to improve
I went up there way back in like 1998 for a couple weeks. Bought a shovel in town and built a couple lips up on a trail above the college. Had a Boss 26" cruiser with a Marzocchi fork, as there were no real jump style MTB's at the time. Stashed the shovel under a log. I wonder if anyone ever found it?
I might have found it in 2001...built some nice berms/booters over the years on the "jump trail" above the frisbee golf course among other areas....I've got to say I dont miss digging in that dirt...very hard to work with..
I used to live out in the hills in blue lake and its always really great when I get to see anything from that area. Great video, it really brightened up my day, thanks.
Wet as f*ck?
