PRESS RELEASE: Calibre Bikes

After immediately selling out of our limited edition Beastnut bikes in 2017, there was high demand for a permanent, higher specced Bossnut model. We quickly got to work on designing a bike to take Calibre a step forwards in the mountain bike world and after months of thorough testing in some of the most demanding bike parks and challenging races across the UK, we're proud to introduce the £1399 Calibre Triple B.

The extra cash gets you a bolt-through back end for increased stiffness, a longer travel, higher specced RockShox fork which slackens out the head angle to give you a more gravity focused ride, a dropper post - often Bossnut owner's first upgrade and a pair of SRAM guide brakes. These upgrades make the Triple B the go-to full suspension bike in this price range.

Available now from GO Outdoors with international shipping.

Geometry and spec list:

We took the Triple B to Wales to show off its capability both in the big mountains and on technical bike park trails with Cadair Idris and Revolution Bike Park providing the goods.

Keep up to date with all things Calibre via Facebook and on Instagram.

Great Pricing. Looks ugly AF. And don't tell me you can't make a nice frame in this price point. look at the Marin Hawk hill.

I reckon it would look so much nicer with out that seat mast gusset an those cable guides under the down tube, an get rid of the yellow paint

Another great effort but it is suffering from longseattubeitus and why don't they just turn the dropper 180 degrees and put a long bolt in like everyone else does to get the actuation cable pipe thingy round the back?

Dear bike manufacturers, Keep those too tubes low as possible if you wanna sell a bike that is meant for anything other than XC...and even then lower them a little too. Looking at you Giant!

 Dat berm...... hubba, revs?
  • + 3
Revvit indeed, you can hit that berm at mach silly without any chance of flying out. Best mtb jump line I've ever ridden.

I'd imagine this is what the berms look like on the Scottish Open DH track.

seriously with the cable management, you cant try harder for the photo-op.... wow. The front brake line seems like it was intentionally made ugly just for the picture. "No seriously joe, pull it forward as hard as you can to see if you can get it at least 12" inches away from the headtube." ..... "I'm spent".

1996 called and they want their bike back.

Virus Escarpe during one of many CRC sales would get my vote over this.

it looked at home on the park but that first hike a bike section looked like it was trying to kill him . good to see entry level prices dropping though.

Currently in the process of building up a Calibre Bossnut V2 can't wait to get it out there & see what she can do!
  • + 1
Well crud, knew I should've waited a few more weeks before buying a new steed; would've been all over this. Great looking bike, good job Calibre.
  • + 2
How does it weigh? Less than the new Commencal 29?
  • + 1
Looks like old Polygon Reckon 2014 with higher spec. Polygon replaced the Reckon series with Siskiu D on 2015 to present.

WTF, SRSLY That top tube?! It's like throwing a leg over a road bike...
  • + 1
 Looks like Revelation, not Reba

Can you get these bikes in the US?

 $1800 US dollars. not cheap
  • + 2
Its pretty cheap for what it is.
  • + 5
You can't just convert to dollars and call it a day. You have to compare it to what we can buy in the UK with £1400.
