Jerome Clementz secured his place in mountain biking history when he became the first man to be crowned Enduro World Champion in 2013 after winning the first ever season of the Enduro World Series. Since then he's become one of the most iconic EWS racers, as famous for his style on a bike as his impressive results. The EWS crew met up with Jerome to see what his life is like behind the scenes and what it takes to become a champion of the sport. Currently sitting fourth in the overall EWS rankings, only a fool would bet against the original enduro champion being back on that podium in Finale Ligure in two weeks time.

All of the current frenchies, guys and gals, on the DH WC and now Jerome, plus the Remi (various) are just SO "NICE"... at this rate I'm going to have end up admitting that I like French people
Seriously, every time I see an interview like this I re-remember just what a fcking ace crowd mountain bikers are.
ALL of my friends, all of them, are people I've met biking. If I lived another two lifetimes I couldn't give back to this sport what's it's given me.
So now I see that the next gen are just as laid back, supportive of their competitors and fun... it makes me unbelievably happy that my kids are now both involved in the sport and enjoying it too.
