There just aren't enough mega-hucks in videos these days - it's good to see that Jordie Lunn's keeping the flames of freeride burning bright. If his latest Instagram post is any indication, he certainly hasn't been taking it easy since releasing Rough AF 2 earlier this year - we can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
And since that short Instaclip of wild riding isn't nearly enough, here's Rough As F 2 for your viewing pleasure:
@RedBurn: No. Instead you will be able withness Rémy Metailler choke and decide not to compete on finals day due to safety concerns. Everybody will then proceed to praise him for how smart he is. And just like his fellow Frenchman, he will have wasted the spot of somebody who is more deserving
@mollow: because safety concerns are overrated when you stand on top of the hill... Instead of blaming it on Remy who is just responding positively to an invitation he received and stepping out of the comfort zone for the event, you should be questioning why Jordie Lunn is not receiving one despite being rough AF.
@CloseCall: euh what's going on here haha Rémy never refused his final run haha he did it last year... Now the safety excuse for not doing the second one is easy but if it was really because for that he wouldn't have gone down the first time
The reality is that he just didn't want to go up again... by foot. That's why, fact
In comparison, Sam Reynolds chose not to ride in the finals at all last year and this is what I call a reasonable decision.. you ride down or not: there's no middle ground
Just WoW! At least with trails like that you don't have to worry about the "no build no ride" as 98% of the mtb community would just stand there and scratch their heads. Awesome riding!
@chyu: nice catch chyu. that joke could act as a litmus test to determine the length of time people have been involved in mountain biking. speaking of which, props to jordie for the amount of time and commitment he's put into the game.
Talk about a Highlight package to send to sponsors.
This guy needed to be in Semenyuks Rad Company. I mean it was supposed to be the Rebirth of New World Disorder... probably would have Been a little more believable if this dude had been in it.
Hopefully by next year if he wants it, they give him the rampage invite. Time for some more anti-hero riders back on that mountain less redbull horns and more devil horns! \m/ \m/
Gotta say, didn't expect the creativity and flow. Jordie always struck me as me as a "big consequences big hucks" kinda guy. Definitely surprising amounts of style and some off the wall (pun) stuff I haven't seen very often.
He was competing at rampage long time ago.. even at crankworx events. That was about more than a decade ago if I'm not mistaken. he's already a legend.
When he quit racing DH all I could think of is what a bitch. Then all I seemed to see was him on the dirt jumps, boring. Then I clicked on this. Holy sweet Jesus. I mean to me this is what Free Ride is all about. Not the comp's. Not the dirt jumps. But about going bigger than anyone can on trails in the woods. Isn't that where Mountain Biking is done? Jordie you are the Man.

Wonder how many attempts/crashes during the making of this video.
